Affordable New Homes in Wales Through Help to Buy

Posted 1 October 2018 by Rupert Bates

Here are a few examples of what you could buy with Help to Buy in Wales right now...

In order to make climbing the property ladder easier and more affordable, the government introduced the scheme Help to Buy, open to both first-time buyers and current homeowners to purchase their dream new build property priced up to £300,000.

The government offers an equity loan of 20% of the property value, which is interest-free for the first five years. This means that you would only have to pay a 5% deposit and then find a mortgage for the remaining 75%. After the first five years, you start to pay monthly interest on the Help to Buy Wales loan over the period that you own the property. When the property is then sold, you repay the government 20% of its value.

Help to Buy Wales is a scheme that is growing and continuously helping those trying to climb the property ladder, through buying a new build. See what you could buy through Help to Buy in Wales.
