Game, set and match at Pavilions in Wimbledon

Posted 6 July 2016 by Helen Christie

The All England Lawn Tennis Club, where Andy Murray, Roger Federer and Serena Williams are all hitting centre court, is just over a mile from the sought-after new build development from Linden Homes...

Over 40,000 spectators are expected to visit Wimbledon this year between 27th June and 10th July. With many players and tennis fans due to rent local homes during the tournament, Linden Homes’ Pavilions could make the ideal place for investors to rent out accommodation.

The development is just over a mile away from the renowned tennis tournament, making these apartments the perfect option for tennis enthusiasts to use as a base whilst enjoying the delights that come with Wimbledon season.

To take a break from courtside, Wimbledon village is just a short walk from Pavilions offering boutique shops, restaurants and cafes to enjoy more strawberries and Pimms. Wimbledon is also known for its cluster of parks with Wimbledon Common being a perfect place to unwind, discuss the latest tennis scores and soak up the British evening sun – if you’re lucky!

Claire Gibbins, sales and marketing director at Linden Homes South East says: “Sporting events such as Wimbledon can result in an increased demand for short-term rental accommodation to an area so investors would be wise to use this to their advantage. This demand would give you the choice of living in your Pavilions apartment for the majority of the year whilst making extra income by renting out your place during these key events throughout the year.

“For investors looking for longer term renters, Pavilions offers desirable transport links into central London, making it the perfect location for commuters who also enjoy the benefits of a more suburban lifestyle. The development is just a few minutes’ walk to Wimbledon station, served by both National Rail and the District Line, where Waterloo can be reached in less than 20 minutes. A 15 minute’ walk away is South Wimbledon tube station providing access to the Northern Line.”

This development of two-bedroom apartments now only has six properties available with prices currently starting at £660,000.

The largest of the Pavilions properties is a two-bedroom duplex apartment, priced at £825,000, including a master bedroom with built-in wardrobes. A fully-fitted kitchen is at one end of the open-plan living/dining room, with full-height windows for a light and airy feel leading on to a private balcony.

Underground parking is available for a limited number of apartments, and each property comes with a 10-year NHBC warranty and two-year customer care warranty for peace of mind.
