Feature Development – Wynyard Rise, Wynyard

Posted 11 October 2021 by Keith Osborne

Dere Street Homes is offering a range of luxury homes at its Wynyard Rise development on a private estate in County Durham…

Wynyard Rise is an exclusive new development located in the sought-after area of Wynyard, a few miles north of Middlesbrough, close to historic Wynyard Hall.

The neighbourhood is well-known as a haven for celebrities and Wynyard Rise fits into the sought-after area through its choice of 64 new executive homes and its setting, with some tranquil woodland surroundings and convenient location within reach of village amenities including a pharmacy, salon, dentist, grocery store, café, pub and restaurant.

For families, there are several schools nearby including the ‘Outstanding’ rated Wynyard C of E Primary and Sedgefield Community College. In addition there is a choice of nearby independent schools including Yarm School, Red House School and Teesside High.

The M1 is around 10 minutes’ drive away, and for comprehensive rail services, both Darlington and Durham are about 25 minutes away.

As expected for a collection of executive homes, each home at Wynyard Rise comes with an impressive standard specification throughout.

‘The Forrester’‘The Forrester’

‘The Forrester’ on Plot 52, at £545,000, is a great example of a four-bedroom home for sale here right now. It’s a very spacious property which comes with an integrated double garage. There’s a sitting room at the front, with feature fireplace, and the hub of the home is at the rear, a large, double-aspect open-plan kitchen/dining/family room with bifold doors to the rear garden. Off this is a utility room with plenty of extra worktop and storage. Off the landing upstairs are four double bedrooms and the family bathroom, which comes with bath and separate shower. Bedroom one has a luxurious feel, with its own en suite and a dressing area with generous built-in wardrobes.

An alternative for four bedrooms could be the double-fronted ‘The Tate’ on Plot 50, priced at £585,000. This also has a very generous open-plan room at the back, where the kitchen comes with plentiful appliances, storage units and worktop/breakfast bar, with lots of flexibility on how the rest of the space can be utilised. A utility room helps keep it decluttered. This floor also has a cloakroom, separate living room and a study. All four bedrooms are doubles, with two having their own en suite and the bonus of a dressing area with fitted wardrobes in the master bedroom. A four-piece family bathroom completes the layout. This house comes with a detached double garage.

‘The Stag’‘The Stag’

A stand-out home is ‘The Stag’ on Plot 46, a double-fronted three-storey home with detached double garage. Across the full width of the rear of the home is the extensive open-plan kitchen/dining/family room with lots of glazing to the rear garden, including a set of bifold doors. There’s a utility room off this with its own door to the outside – a nice way to keep the muddy paws of the dog from leaving their prints on the floor of the main room! The ground floor is completed by a cloakroom and under-stairs storage, and at the front of the home, two reception rooms, each with a feature fireplace.

The principal bedroom takes up nearly half of the first floor – a statement room with generous dressing area and an en suite with a feature bath and twin basins for an extra level of luxury. There are three more double bedrooms on this floor and a family bathroom. Both large double bedrooms on the second floor come with their own en suite, making them ideal for some independence for members of the family or guests. This home is priced at £735,000.

The six-bedroom show home at Wynyard Rise is open from 11.00am to 5.00pm, Thursday to Monday, by appointment only. Find out more from Dere Street Homes.
