The Best New Homes In Luton

Posted 16 June 2023 by Keith Osborne

We take a look at some of the best current new home developments in and around Luton...

The main town in an urban area with a population of nearly 300,000, Luton is in the south of Bedfordshire and has a host of amenities that make it a great option as a place to live for house-hunters in that part of the country, or for people looking for a more affordable home than they would find in Greater London and some of the Home Counties.

town centre is well served by numerous big-brand and independent shops and supermarkets in The Mall and surrounding streets, and there’s also a great choice of places to eat and drink. A couple of years ago, the Council approved a major regeneration programme over the next two decades that will update and create brand new places to shops and extensive community facilities and cultural attractions, as well as hundreds of brand new homes.

Right now, there are numerous places to enjoy leisure time including a multi-screen cinema, an arts venue, parks, pubs, museums, and sports venues. Luton Football Club (nicknamed ‘The Hatters’) has just been promoted to the Premier League.

Families in and around Luton are spoilt for choice with a host of schools for all ages being rated as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted and more rated ‘Good’. There are two campuses for the University of Bedfordshire in the town.

London is as little as 26 minutes away thanks to regular services from Luton’s railway station to destinations which include places like Corby, Brighton, Medway and two international airports. By road, the M1 runs to the western edge of town, and the M25 and A1(M) are around 20 minutes away.

For house-hunters considering buying a brand new home in or near Luton, there are currently a host of possibilities to choose from. Any offers, initiatives and assistance schemes mentioned are all subject to terms and conditions.
