Brand new homes for sale in Cambridge

The development of the city of Cambridge and the surrounding area continues apace. Best-known for its world-class university colleges, it’s a thriving place to live for schooling, shopping and leisure, as well as being the HQ for numerous large companies. Public transport and nearby major roads, including the M11, make it a well-connected place to live too.

Barratt Homes’ Franklin Gardens is on the northern fringe of the city and within easy reach of the A14 and M1, between them making access to many major towns and cities very straightforward. The development is selling fast but there are still two-, three- and four-bedroom contemporary-design houses for sale here starting at £499,995 for the ‘Mews’ with two double bedrooms (one en suite), kitchen/dining room, separate first-floor lounge, large private terrace and two integral garages. It comes with upgrades and a deposit contribution. Find out more about Franklin Gardens.

It is also well connected by road and public transport to many other cities. While it currently has an impressive selection of shops, amenities, leisure facilities and commercial employers, there are proposals for long-term generation, symbolised by the opening of a new university, ARU Peterborough, in 2022.
