Big Price Cuts On Cambridge Apartments

Barratt Homes has reduced the prices significantly on two great apartments at developments around Cambridge...

Barratt Homes has recently introduced major price cuts on a couple of apartments at its developments in Cambridge, a great opportunity for first-time buyers and downsizers to save thousands of pounds on a brand new, contemporary-design property.

One of them is Koti Apartment Sylva at the award-winning housebuilder’s landmark Trumpington Meadows development in the growing community south of the city. Located off Hauxton Road, within easy reach of the city centre, M11 and places including Addenbrooke’s Hospital and the Cambridge Biomedical Campus, the ground floor home is ideally situated for people working locally or further afield.

Barratt has reduced the price by £12,000, to £317,995, giving the buyer a standard property for considerably less, or freeing up the budget for a host of upgrades. If snapped up quickly, this home still qualifies for the current Help to Buy scheme, open to first-time buyers and those selling a current property, and requiring a deposit of only 5%.

This Koti apartment is a one-bedroom, bright and airy open-plan home with views of the 148 acres Country Park. The bedroom boasts built-in wardrobes and a large bathroom. There’s also a very generous private terrace, ideal for buyers who want some outside space of their own. This property benefits also from a parking space.

An alternative home to consider is Plot 43 of Lewis House at Darwin Green, off Huntingdon Road north-west of the city. This two-bedroom apartment was £392,500 and is now £379,995 – a saving of £12,500. This is ready to move into and also available with Help to Buy.

This is a dual-aspect, second-floor property which comes with plenty of storage and its own private balcony. There are two double bedrooms, with bedroom one having a fitted wardrobe and an en suite shower room. There’s also a bathroom and the sizeable, open-plan kitchen/dining/living room. The buyer will have upgraded kitchen with integrated appliances and luxury flooring throughout.

The M11 and A14 are close by, making Darwin Green well-located for travelling across East Anglia and into London. A number of university buildings are within a short walk from the front door.
