We've collated some of the very latest news and special offers at current Hertfordshire new homes developments...

The property market is still incredibly active, with the approaching end to the Stamp Duty holiday and the hopeful return to ‘normal’ life over the next few weeks, and there’s no exception in Hertfordshire, especially as it is a popular choice for people in Greater London who want to move away from the city but still have easy access to it.

The WhatHouse? team has collated some of the very latest news and special offers at current Hertfordshire new homes developments.

Bellway London recently released the first homes at its Waterside at Riverwell development located off Thomas Sawyer Way in Watford. In total, there will be 143 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments coming to the site as part of a wider regeneration project delivering new homes to the area as well as new commercial and community facilities. A sales centre, show home and fitness suite are due to open in August but in the meantime the first plots are being sold from Bellway’s Apsley Quay sales centre in nearby Hemel Hempstead.

Greg Allsop, sales and marketing director for Bellway London, said: “The variety of apartment styles we are building here will appeal to a mix of buyers at different stages of the property ladder, including those who are first-time buyers. Waterside at Riverwell is ideal for commuters, being less than 20 minutes’ walk from Bushey and Watford High Street stations and providing fast and regular services into the capital. The M25 is also easily accessible from the development, providing links to many destinations including Heathrow Airport, which is approximately half-an-hour’s drive away.

Residents will benefit from a number of exclusive facilities at the development, including a state of the art fitness suite; a dedicated concierge service and gated undercover parking. Prices at Waterside at Riverwell starting from £295,000. Find out more at bellway.co.uk.

Chase New Homes has just launched St Edward’s Gate, a secluded collection of just 23 four- and five-bedroom houses in Cuffley, around 40 minutes from central London by rail. The private gated development is surrounded by ancient woodland and rural farmland and comprises a selection of executive house types in different architectural styles and layouts.

The specification includes fully fitted designer kitchens and integrated Siemens appliances as well as sleek Amtico flooring and underfloor hearting. Large bi-fold doors seamlessly connect the inside with the out, leading onto landscaped gardens and patio spaces, some of which look directly onto the mature ancient woodland, perfect for hosting BBQs with friends and family. Integral garages provide handy storage for bicycles, canoes or cars and lead onto private driveways.

Prices at St Edwards Gate start from £950,000. ‘The Dorchester’, a striking five-bedroom family home with a master bedroom suite across the whole of the second floor, can be viewed by appointment through selling agents Statons. Find out more at [email protected].

Now 85% sold, there are still 10 homes for sale at Taylor Wimpey’s Cedar Meadows development in Woolmer Green, just south of Knebworth and a mile from the station for services to and from central London. The village is also well connected by road as the A1 is within easy reach and for shopping and leisure, Stevenage and Welwyn Garden City are less than five miles either side.
