Barratt Homes has seen residents at its Warwick Gates development reaping the many benefits of having beautiful countryside on their doorstep.

According to research from Warwick University, living within 300 metres of urban green space such as parks, nature reserves or play areas is associated with greater happiness, sense of worth, and life satisfaction. Studies have shown that daily contact with nature, even in urban green spaces, results in physical and psychological benefits. Lockdown and the limited opportunity to travel far from home in delightful weather showed one of the benefits of outdoor living and semi-rural life.

National property agent Savills interviewed 700 registered buyers and sellers in April 2020 and saw 42% of respondents under 40 expressing the inclination to upsize with the desire for a garden becoming a more pressing consideration. Four in 10 were looking for a village location and 4% of respondents with school age children now finding the idea of a countryside location more attractive than pre Covid-19.

Warwick Gates has a range of two-, three- and four-bedroom homes available for keen homebuyers to reserve, surrounded by open space and with buyers looking for a country escape these properties tick all of the boxes. The development features a range of public open spaces with mature trees and greenery to attract wildlife.

Tanya Silk, sales director at Barratt Homes West Midlands, said: “Warwick Gates is the ideal place for families and young couples to escape the city after lockdown. It is more important than ever to ensure that everyone is getting a breath of fresh air every day and living at the Harbury Lane development definitely provides that with the Cotswolds just 15 miles away, there are ample places to explore and take in all of the local nature.

“Warwick Gates is now open on an appointment-only basis, so I would advise anyone interested to visit the website or call the sales team where you will be able to book an appointment with one of our friendly sales advisers.”

The range of two- to four-bedroom homes for sale there currently range from £220,995 to £452,995. Help to Buy is available, and Barratt is offering Part Exchange, Movermaker or Deposit Boost initiatives on selected plots. All NHS workers qualify for a 5% deposit contribution for Barratt Homes.
