The 'unwrapped home' is stripped back in places so that potential buyers can see in detail the build quality...

National housebuilder, Vistry Group, has launched an ‘Unwrapped Home’ at its Twigworth Green location in Gloucestershire.

Building on the success of its predecessor in Wokingham, which the HBF’s managing director, Neil Jefferson, labelled ‘the envy of the industry’ last year, Vistry has developed the innovative new show home, in Twigworth, to enhance the customer journey and provide increased transparency for its new build properties.

Both Bovis Homes and Linden Homes, the two main brands of Vistry Group, are being built at Twigworth Green, with show homes from both and a sales centre all now open.

The ‘Unwrapped Home’ is so named as certain elements, such as walls, flooring or ceiling fixtures, are removed in places in order to reveal the inner workings of key construction features, including plumbing, electrical and structural components. Furthermore, each room in the property showcases information plaques, similar to those in museums or art galleries, with more detail on each component seen within.

'Unwrapped Home at Twigworth GreenDave White, project manager at Vistry, said: “We are so proud to launch our new Unwrapped Home to the public here in Twigworth. We understand the commitment our customers are making when purchasing a new home and we wanted to provide them with an unparalleled level of transparency as a result.

“The Unwrapped Home will be perfect for customers to view alongside our other show homes on site, but it will also provide a great learning resource for our new employees and students hoping to build a career in the industry.”

Marketing manager Sharon Nash added: “Not only does the Unwrapped Home demonstrate the confidence we have in the quality of the homes that we build, but it also provides our customers with valuable insight into the structural makeup of their home.

“For instance, for house buyers looking to take on some DIY, knowing where major plumbing or electrical fixtures are located will be hugely beneficial.”
