Weston Homes has launched a guided virtual tour of the show apartment at its Springfield Park development in Maidstone, Kent.

Weston Homes has launched a guided virtual tour of the show apartment at its Springfield Park development in Maidstone, Kent.

Located at the northern edge of Maidstone, overlooking the River Medway and towards Whatman Park beyond, this project is providing 502 apartments located across four contemporary buildings, including The Creswick, a 17-storey tower offering spectacular views which is part of the first phase. There has already been considerable buyer interest in this and The Imperial building, with 70% already sold.

The award-winning housebuilder has partnered with tech firm Reevo 360 and unveiled a guided virtual tour of the 750-sq-ft, fully dressed show apartment in The Creswick. This has two bedrooms with fitted storage, an open-plan kitchen and living area, a family bathroom and a private terrace showcasing the views available. Potential buyers can either browse the virtual tour themselves at their leisure or request a guided tour with a trained sales agent. The Weston sales agent will send the buyer an encrypted link and share their screen, able to talk the buyer through the property as they would during a face-to-face viewing.

The interactive tour is an opportunity to see and ask any questions about layout and specification, which includes fitted kitchen appliances, luxury bathrooms with ‘smart’ showers and baths, and a choice of quartz stone kitchen worktops and bedroom carpet.

With this technology, the guided tours can be joined by up to 50 people at a time, allowing parents, children, financial advisors or lawyers to join in, which suits their key demographic of first-time buyers and downsizers well. The technology behind Reevo 360 took 18 months to develop and involves a bespoke camera rig capturing interior and exterior images, which are then presented alongside RICS floorplans, creating a smooth and comprehensive tour for the viewer.

The first residents moved in Springfield Park at the start of the year, with the entire scheme set to complete in Spring 2022.

The historic town of Maidstone is undergoing an extensive regeneration, including £3million on the town centre alone. Launched last year, there are now direct trains from Maidstone East station reaching London Bridge in 46 minutes with an average of 110 trains a day, making the town a new hotspot for commuters. There are also direct trains to London Victoria that take just over an hour. Maidstone is also well located for accessing M20 the M25 for commuting by car.

Bob Weston, chairman and chief executive of Weston Homes, commented: “We are delighted with the virtual tour of our show apartment at Springfield Park, a development that is providing high-quality homes at affordable prices to meet local demand. The new virtual tour will allow buyers to understand the lifestyle on offer at Springfield Park, guided by a Weston sales agent, from the safety of their own home during the current uncertain circumstances.”

One-, two- and three-bedroom apartments at Springfield Park start from £199,995, £236,995 and £331,000 respectively.
