Weston Homes Now Hosting Guided Virtual Tours

Posted 6 April 2020 by Keith Osborne

Weston Homes has launched virtual tours of show homes at developments in Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire.

Multi-award-winning housebuilder Weston Homes has launched virtual tours of show homes at major developments in Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire.

The secure digital system links the sales representative with up to 50 people at one time to allow them to take a tour of the show homes from the comfort of their sofa, at a time convenient to them. This means that partners and family can also see the property for themselves and ask any questions about things like specification, the development itself and the local area, as they would at a face-to-face meeting. The system works offers a mix of interior and exterior photography and works over a range of devices including smartphones, tablets and laptop/desk PCs.

An increasing number of developers and housebuilders are using these systems, and as we saw last week, it is helping serious house-hunters to continue their search for a new home while observing the self-isolation and social distancing restrictions of the COVID-19 crisis. Once they’ve taken their guided tour, potential buyers are sent a link so that they can re-visit the show home at any time.

Bob Weston, chairman and CEO of Weston Homes, commented: “Weston Homes has always been proud that we build high-quality homes at affordable prices, helping first-time buyers, young couples and downsizers find their dream homes at each of our developments. The current COVID-19 pandemic is a very worrying time for everyone, but people are looking towards the future after this, with buying a home an important milestone in everyone’s lives. We are delighted that these virtual tours will allow buyers to learn about our developments and speak directly to a trained Weston sales agent who can answer any questions they might have.”

The new technology has been introduced at three Weston Homes sites:

  • The Denham Film Studios in Buckinghamshire, where homes start at £680,000.
  • Fletton Quays in Peterborough, where prices currently start at £172,000.
  • Watford Cross in Watford, where prices are from £319,000.

Select homes at the developments are available on the housebuilder’s own First-time SecureBuy scheme, which requires a 5% deposit and a reservation fee of just £500 or £1,000, depending on the property.

Jonathan Lewis, sales director at Weston Homes commented: “This an investment in our future, and we are confident that after the need for social-distancing, the ability to tour a show home from the comfort of your own home will still prove a popular choice for many buyers. We look forward to having the rest of our portfolio captured by Reevo 360 once the lockdown period is over.”

Daniel Freeman, sales director at Reeve 360, said: “We think our partnership works particularly well with Weston Homes given that so many of their buyers are first-time buyers or young couples who will appreciate having a relative on the virtual tour with them, as they would bring them to a face-to-face viewing.”
