Housebuilder House by Urban Splash has unveiled its first Row House homes, its third new house type – with the first going on sale at its East Float development, part of the major Wirral Waters regeneration.

As with the Town House homes and Mansion House homes before it, Row House has been designed by Liverpool-based architects shedkm and has been created first at East Float, which is a joint venture between House by Urban Splash and Peel L&P where a total 350 homes will be created.

Row House is another MMC (“modern methods of construction”) concept created using precision manufacturing technology at the company’s factory in the East Midlands. It is clad in bright red corrugated, profiled metal – with the first clad homes now visible at the Wirral. The design is inspired by the cranes and bascule bridges of the Birkenhead Dock system as shedkm director Ian Killick explained.

“We’ve been creatively influenced by local aesthetics here – hence why they are clad in such a vibrant hue,” he said. “This brand-new concept takes the idea of customer choice a step further than its Town House cousin, in continuing House by Urban Splash’s commitment to help customers, partners and communities ‘Live Well by Design’. The combination of design, wellbeing, choice and sustainability is once again ensuring that this new neighbourhood is an exemplar and somewhere that people can make their own.”

Wirral WatersA total of 45 Row House homes are onsite being created; they come in three sizes: a two-bedroom, two-storey home; a three-bedroom, two-and-a-half storey home with the luxury of a roof terrace; and the largest, a four-bedroom, three-storey home. Residents will also benefit from private terraces as well as spacious communal gardens.

Killick added: “The result of this mixed-sized approach is a streetscape with varying heights and roof terrace positions chosen for the best views and orientation – the skyline is both interesting and unique and is basked in a beautiful red hue now that the cladding has been installed.”

Other homes available at Wirral Waters include the impressive three-storey Town House homes which are now on sale and offer open-plan options, up to five bedrooms and home offices; there is a garden living option – a traditional layout with living spaces downstairs – or loft living – with bedrooms on the ground floor and open-plan living areas upstairs. Each of them boasts unrivalled views over the water, thanks to the neighbourhood’s location facing East Float Dock, which is a stone’s throw from the River Mersey.

Prices start from £210,000 for a two-storey Row House home, while the Town House homes are priced from £345,000. Customers can also tour the onsite interactive sales pavilion, which features immersive brand experiences, including screens on which customers can explore various layouts of the homes.
