Berkshire Development Gets A New Show Home

Keith OsborneTaylor Wimpey has officially opened the doors to a brand new sales office and expertly designed show home at the Stanbury View development in the village of Spencers Wood, Berkshire.
After carrying out extensive research on the local area, Phoenix Interior Design wanted the new show home to be reflective of the beautiful green landscapes surrounding Spencers Wood. Through the design, they also wanted to display the full potential of Taylor Wimpey’s four-bedroom ‘Huxford’ house type to homebuyers.
Commenting on the process of designing the show home at Stanbury View, Susan White, founder of Phoenix Interior Design Ltd, said: “For this show home, our main focus was to deliver a visually exciting, yet classic design which complements the local area and appeals to local homebuyers. We decided to use a green colour scheme with pops of mustard and amber to bring the outside in and create a relaxing atmosphere with a luxury feel. The colours also reflect nature which provides a calming effect and a sense of peace, harmony and balance.”
“As well as being bold with colour, we wanted to be as socially conscious as possible through the use of sustainable and eco-friendly materials around the show home. Lots of the products we used were made from recyclable materials such as the wallpaper and we used trade suppliers that are local to Spencers Wood to help reduce the overall carbon footprint.
“I hope that the ‘Huxford’ show home will inspire visitors at Stanbury View and show them something that they could create themselves.”
