New Art-Inspired Show Home To Open In Stockton-on-Tees

Keith OsborneWhether you’re searching for your dream home or looking for a way to personalise your new build, Taylor Wimpey North Yorkshire will be unveiling a new art-inspired show home at its Hartburn Grange development in Stockton-on-Tees on Saturday 10 September.
Featuring artwork by local artist Lucy Pittaway, the paintings were the inspiration for interior design company, Claude Hooper, who used the tonal schemes and elements within the paintings as inspiration to design two show homes – the four-bedroom ‘Coltham’ and the three-bedroom ‘Gosford’.
Commenting on the concept behind the artwork for the show home at Taylor Wimpey’s Hartburn Grange development, Stockton-on-Tees artist, Lucy Pittaway, said: “It’s always such a pleasure to see art where it belongs – in a home. The artwork chosen for this project highlights how the small things play a vital role in making a house a home. The pieces used are diverse and inspired by very different locations and times in my life, each with a unique story behind them; yet they hold a very simple message.”
Claude Hooper selected some of Lucy’s most atmospheric paintings, drawing upon the moody blue and green tones as inspiration for the scheme. Jonathon Hooper, owner of Claude Hooper, comments: “This tonal palette, evoking the natural landscape and the sky, is a calming backdrop for a family sanctuary. Lucy was chosen as the official artist of cycle race the Tour de Yorkshire and we have incorporated the famous local passion for cycling in our bike-themed teenage bedroom; perfect for a family that wants to make the most of all the outdoor activities the surrounding area has to offer.
“Throughout the show homes we have incorporated clever storage ideas to demonstrate the practicality of the space, featuring innovative home organisation ideas such as wall-mounted contemporary hooks and ‘home edit’ inspired storage systems.”
Lauren Angus, sales and marketing director at Taylor Wimpey North Yorkshire, added: “We’re so proud of our show home at Hartburn Grange, especially the work that Lucy Pittaway and the team at Claude Hooper have put into the artwork and wider project. I would encourage anyone looking for interior inspiration to visit us at Hartburn Grange.
“We understand that it is important for prospective buyers to be able to visualise themselves in a new home and taking a look around our new, art-inspired show homes is the perfect opportunity to do just that.”
Taylor Wimpey sales executives will be on hand to welcome visitors and help them to find their dream home at Hartburn Grange at the opening on Saturday 10 September, which starts from 10.00am. With a wealth of experience, the sales executives are well placed to answer any questions prospective homebuyers may have throughout their buying journey. There’s no prior appointment required and goody bags will also be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
