5% Deposit Scheme For New Homes In Haddington
House-hunters looking to buy a property just a stone’s throw from Haddington now have the opportunity to secure a new home with just a 5% deposit, following Taylor Wimpey East Scotland’s announcement that the Deposit Unlock scheme is now available on selected two-bedroom new homes at its Letham Mains development.
The scheme, which has been developed by the Home Builders Federation (HBF) and mortgage lenders, means that both first time buyers and existing homeowners can purchase a new-build home up to the value of £750,000 with a 5% deposit. Using the scheme, buyers at Letham Mains in Haddington can snap up a ‘Andrew’ two bedroom mid-terrace home from £230,000.
Kirsty McGill, sales and marketing director at Taylor Wimpey East Scotland said: “Saving for a deposit can be one of the biggest barriers to homeownership and so we’re delighted to be offering Deposit Unlock on selected two-bedroom homes at Letham Mains.
“The scheme gives customers with a 5% deposit access to mortgage products with competitive interest rates and will help to make buying a new home more affordable.
“Our sales team is on hand to talk customers through the scheme and how it could help them to join the growing community at Letham Mains, within easy reach of the vibrant market town of Haddington.
“Interested house-hunters can book an appointment on our website to come in and see us, and we look forward to welcoming them soon.”
