Time running out to apply for a discounted new home in East Lothian
A deadline to apply to buy one of just 12 luxury homes in North Berwick, East Lothian at a highly discounted price has been extended to this Friday 11 March by housebuilder CALA Homes.
The homes are available to first-time buyers and people currently on East Lothian Council’s housing waiting list, who have registered their interest. The homes will be on the Gilsland Mews development in North Berwick currently under construction from the award-winning housebuilder, with prices up to 43% cheaper than the full market value.
Those savings could be as much as £85,000, as the properties on offer range from a one-bedroom apartment at £91,694 to a two-bedroom bungalow for £156,300. There will also be two-bedroom flats and three-bedroom semi-detached homes.
The lucky purchasers acquiring these homes could move in as early as this summer.
The scheme is the first to come from an agreement between CALA Homes and the council to deliver affordable homes alongside some of its renowned open-market homes.
