Telford Homes has just launched Stone Studios, a unique, new live-work community in the centre of Hackney Wick, East London.

The distinctive ‘micro-neighbourhood’ is comprised of five characterful buildings, offering 110 expansive, light-filled apartments as well as an on-site café and unique creative workspace.

Built on the site of a former metalworks, the striking development has been designed to celebrate the area’s industrial heritage, featuring impressive brick facades, saw-toothed roofs and contemporary metal balconies. The industrial design allows for a range of apartment layouts – and the development features suites, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments plus characterful duplexes and loft-style living – all arranged around a peaceful central courtyard.

Stone StudiosRanging in size from 481 sq ft to 1,787 sq ft, the homes have floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the space with natural light, and flexible, free-flowing living space can be adapted to meet changing lifestyles and needs – whether that be a home-office, creative studio or place to relax and entertain. Spacious kitchens feature a stylish onyx-grey finish, handless units and edgy stone worktops; combined with fully integrated Bosch appliance to provide the perfect combination of style and function. Each apartment features a private balcony.

Creativity and inspiration are central to the ethos of Stone Studios, and the development’s 5,000 sqm of high-quality commercial space will host a café, retail space and art gallery, alongside affordable creative workspace – which will be offered to local artists and entrepreneurs to nurture and maintain the area’s creative spirit. Residents will also benefit from a 12-hour concierge and secure, purpose-built bicycle storage for the increasing number of consumers who wish to cycle rather than use public transport.

Simon Halfhide, group sales director of Telford Homes, said: “Whether first-time buyers, young professionals, families or investors, Stone Studios is the perfect choice for those who want to live a little differently. Providing an opportunity to live amongst the city’s most vibrant and creative community, residents will benefit not only from spacious and adaptable living space, but also a range of unique on-site amenities, from a relaxing café to work or meet friends to a tranquil courtyard in which to relax.

“Hackney Wick has been transformed over the past decade into a fantastic residential district, whist still maintaining its historic industrial and creative spirit. This unique take on city living – combined with its excellent value for money in comparison to other East London hotspots such as Shoreditch and London Fields - has seen buyers flock to the area in recent years. With direct access to Hackney Wick Overground station offering quick journey times into central London, residents at Stone Studios can embrace local living whilst still maintaining quick access to central London. We’re pleased to offer buyers an opportunity to reside in this unique East London neighbourhood.”

Stone StudiosHackney Wick has benefitted from ongoing regeneration following the 2012 Olympic Games that has transformed the area, whilst maintaining its unique creative spirit and unconventional character of its own.

On the doorstep, residents will find a host of bustling amenities from quirky bars, global eateries and independent breweries to vintage markets and live music venues. Local warehouse spaces are filled with entrepreneurial, creative businesses, from artists and photographers to clothes designers and furniture makers.

Vibrant Broadway Market is in nearby London Fields, as well as the shopping and entertainment options on offer at Westfield Stratford shopping centre. Stone Studios also offers an abundance of green space within a stone’s throw from the development, such as Victoria Park and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, east London’s canal network and the River Lea.

Residents will benefit from direct access to Hackney Wick Overground station, providing regular services to Clapham Junction, Richmond and Stratford, as well as seven bus routes within 0.4 miles of the development. With journey times of 30 minutes to London Bridge, 18 minutes to Liverpool Street and 19 minutes to Kings Cross, residents will have quick access to the heart of the city, whilst still enjoying a local community feel. As demand for cycling continues to rise post-lockdown, there are also numerous cycle routes within close proximity of the homes, including over 46 miles of tranquil canal-side pathways.

Completions are scheduled from Spring-Summer 2021 and prices start from £442,500 for a suite apartment. London Help to Buy is available. Bookings to the sales suite are now available by appointment only.
