Help To Buy Wales Available At South Wales Developments

Posted 12 April 2023 by Helen Christie

Buyers in Wales will be able to take advantage of the Help to Buy Wales scheme at three Redrow developments…

The government-backed Help to Buy scheme, which means home buyers need only a deposit of 5%, is changing in April, when the current price cap will increase to include homes of up to £300,000.

Three Redrow South Wales developments, De Clare Gardens, The Hollies and Cwrt Sant Ioan, have homes available as part of the Help to Buy scheme.

Situated in the commuter town of Caerphilly, De Clare Gardens offers the perfect balance of countryside and town-living. Just 30 minutes from Cardiff, Caerphilly is perfectly placed for the daily commute.

For those looking for a more rural location, The Hollies at Great Milton boasts superb countryside, whilst being just minutes from the M4 and within easy reach of Newport and Cardiff.

At Cwrt Sant Ioan at Plasdwr, there’s something for everyone. Plasdwr, Cardiff’s soon-to-be garden city, has recently received a huge investment, including £40m for education and over £27m for transport improvements, to create a vibrant, self-contained and sustainable garden city designed around the needs of its residents both now and in the future.

Those in the market for a new home can stop by any of the three developments and find out more about buying a new home with the scheme.

The government-backed Help to Buy scheme means home buyers need only a deposit of 5%. Buyers can then borrow 20% of the purchase price in the form of an equity loan, meaning they’ll have access to more affordable interest rates typically associated with a 25% deposit. It is available to both first-time buyers and home movers who have not previously used the scheme.

Bev Wookey, sales director for Redrow South Wales, says: “We want to make it as easy as possible for people in South Wales to buy their dream home which is why we’re thrilled to see the price cap increased for the Help to Buy scheme. The scheme aims to make the process of buying a new home as affordable and accessible as possible. We’d encourage people in South Wales and further afield to come along to our brand-new developments, take a tour of our show homes, and see the Redrow difference for themselves.”

All three developments offer two-, three- and four-bedroom homes, including properties from Redrow’s award winning Heritage Collection.
