More Apartments And Duplexes Come To The Royal Docks
Housebuilder Redrow and housing association Peabody are joining forces to deliver another 295 homes to the rapidly changing area on The Royal Docks in east London.
Just launched is Pontoon Reach, which offers a wide range of studios, one, two- and three-bedroom apartments and duplex apartments set over four buildings. The first to launch is called River Walk and will include 69 homes, available to purchase with London Help to Buy. Under the new Help to Buy scheme, first-time buyers will be able to purchase a home at Pontoon Reach with a 5% deposit and 40% five-year equity free loan from the government – so the mortgage only needs to be 55% of the property price. The first homes here are expected to complete in summer 2021.

Nearby Pontoon Dock station provides connections to Canary Wharf in 12 minutes, while Bank in the City is 19 minutes away. The area is also due to benefit from the arrival of Crossrail from Custom House station, which will connect to Bond Street in just 17 minutes. London City Airport, which is a 15-minute walk from the development and provides direct flights to destinations throughout Europe, is also currently undergoing a £344m investment to enable it to expand its offering.
