Latest New Homes To Launch At Herne Bay Community

Posted 13 May 2021 by Keith Osborne

Redrow is launching a new development of Arts & Crafts-inspired homes in a well-connected part of the Kent coast...

Redrow is launching Woodcote Park on Saturday 15 May, the latest phase of the former Herne Bay golf club redevelopment.

Woodcote Park, which takes its name from the famous British golf course, will offer a collection of three- and four-bedroom homes from Redrow’s award-winning Heritage Collection. Inspired by the early 20th-century Arts & Crafts movement, the Heritage Collection homes have been a huge success in earlier phases, with 204 homeowners already moved into the new community.

Buyers at Woodcote Park will move into an already established community with fantastic sports facilities on their doorstep, including football pitches, hockey pitches and tennis courts. Tennis participation boomed during 2020 when lockdown restrictions eased, leading to a 372% year-on-year increase. With a set of courts only moments away, it will be easy for homeowners to pick up a racket and get active.

The 70 three- and four-bedroom homes at Woodcote Park are ideal for family life. While the striking exteriors have traditional features, the interiors are spacious and inviting. Open-plan kitchen and dining areas open out into a garden, with the option to upgrade to bi-fold doors on Redrow’s customer platform, MyRedrow. Each house type has generously sized bedrooms and to cater to the shift towards flexible and remote-working, a series of home office packages are now available on MyRedrow. Elevated ceiling heights, wide door frames and spacious halls all combine to create a sense of space.

The location complements family life too, with a range of onsite amenities and a selection of outstanding primary and secondary schools close by, including Herne Bay C of E Infant and Junior Schools.

Leon Shelton-Smith, area sales manager at Redrow South East, commented: “Our Heritage Collection homes at Herne Bay have been consistently popular with both local buyers and London relocators since we first launched. Woodcote Park brings a new collection of three- and four-bedroom homes to the market, introducing more options which will appeal to a range of buyers. The community is already a buzzing place with lots of families and young couples using the onsite sports facilities, enjoying the surrounding area and of course the close proximity to the beach.”

The nearby beach is part of Herne Bay’s Coastal Park, which offers plenty of open space to explore the colourful huts, the historical buildings, the wildlife and fossils. Woodcote Park is also in an ideal position for new homeowners to visit the surrounding seaside towns of Whitstable and Margate, as well as the historic city of Canterbury. The homes are under a mile from Herne Bay station, which provides direct links to London Victoria and London St Pancras International in as a little as 90 minutes.

Homes at Woodcote Park start from £409,995 and Help to Buy is available on select plots. The new homes are currently being sold from Redrow’s neighbouring outlet, Sunningdale Park where interested buyers can also view three show homes, ‘The Oxford’, ‘The Harrogate’ and ‘The Henley’.
