Doors Now Open To Show Homes In Maidstone

Posted 16 April 2021 by Keith Osborne

Redrow is now inviting house-hunters in Kent to view three fully decorated houses at its Monchelsea Park development...

Leading housebuilder Redrow has launched three show homes at Monchelsea Park, its 302-home community in Maidstone.

The four-bedroom ‘Canterbury’, three-bedroom ‘Stratford Lifestyle’ and four-bedroom ‘Shrewsbury’ are now available to experience first-hand, all from Redrow’s award-winning Heritage Collection.

Redrow’s Heritage Collection homes are recognised for their traditional exteriors, with gable-fronted porches, catslide roofs, pretty brick detailing and a classic colour palette inspired by the 1930s. Inside, the homes are bright and modern, with flexible open-plan rooms downstairs and generously sized bedrooms.

Within the ‘Shrewsbury’ and ‘Stratford Lifestyle’, Redrow has reconfigured one of the bedrooms into a home office, meanwhile the ‘Canterbury’ has a downstairs office incorporated within the floorplan. As the Covid-19 pandemic has given rise to increased flexible working patterns, Redrow is now offering several home office packages, with dedicated office furniture and storage systems. Buyers are able to customise their homes with these packages via its bespoke digital platform, MyRedrow, allowing buyers to select various extras and upgrades throughout the build process. This also includes flooring, tile colours for bathrooms and kitchens, upgrade appliances, underfloor heating, fitted wardrobes and a conservatory.

The new homes at Monchelsea Park are located around a central village green, providing a focal point to the community, alongside additional pockets of green open spaces. Careful consideration has been given to incorporating wildflowers and grasses to increase natural biodiversity, while tree-lined streets will create visually attractive areas for new homeowners. Neighbouring Bicknor Wood and surrounding fields will offer residents the opportunity to explore the natural surroundings, while Leeds Castle is only a short drive away.

Stuart Galloway, sales manager at Redrow South East, commented: “Monchelsea Park is quickly becoming an established and buzzing community. With a mix of houses and apartments amongst carefully landscaped streets and woodland, there is suitable home for buyers of all ages, offering a slice of rural seclusion, while close to Maidstone’s pretty town centre and excellent transport links.

“As the weather brightens up, we expect communities such as Monchelsea Park which encourage residents to enjoy the outdoors and offer good commutability will be hugely popular.”

Prices start at £439,995. In line with the latest government guidance on the housing and construction industry, Redrow sale centres and show homes remain open across the region with social distancing and rigorous hygiene measures in place. Physical or video appointments with sales consultants are available to book via its website, and show home visits will be unaccompanied.

Monchelsea Park is located to the south-east of Maidstone, and a network of new and existing cycleways and footpaths have been integrated into the new community to provide connections to the town centre and surrounding area. New homeowners have easy access to the centre of Maidstone from Monchelsea Park, with the shops and restaurants a 15-minute drive. Within walking and cycling distance are schools, supermarkets, a garden centre, pubs, and restaurants, including the popular Potting Shed, a nearby restaurant and hotel.
