Redrow unveils new show homes at two of its developments in Kent on Saturday 1 August.

At Oakdene at The Hoplands in Hersden, near Canterbury, the ‘Marlow’ opens its doors to the public for the first time, as the fourth and final show home there. It is a four-bedroom detached property with well-proportioned rooms and large windows. The downstairs is designed around the spacious open-plan kitchen and dining area which overlooks and gives access to the garden, along with a large lounge, separate utility, and integrated garage. The main bedroom comes with an en suite bathroom, and the three further double bedrooms share a large family bathroom and have the option of fitted wardrobes.

This home joins three others which have been fully fitted and decorated: The ‘Ludlow’, the ‘Stratford’ and the ‘Warwick’. All are from Redrow’s award-winning Heritage Collection and inspired by the 1930s Arts and Crafts era, reflected in the classical English frontage.

Rachael Baillie, sales director at Redrow South East, commented: “We are thrilled to be launching our show homes at Oakdene at The Hoplands. Having four show homes available to view provides our customers with the opportunity to experience the different sizes, layouts and individual features of our Heritage Collection homes.

“Hersden is the perfect location for families of all sizes, with the proximity to Canterbury and links to London. We are finding that buyers are attracted to the combination of our award-winning Heritage Collection homes, extensive open space and the onsite amenities being provided.”

Surrounded by the lush Kent countryside, and just five miles from the rich history of Canterbury, Oakdene at The Hoplands is the perfect location for growing families, with several ‘Outstanding’ and ‘Good’ Ofsted-rated schools nearby. The development is set within 39 acres of open space, including a new village green, and homeowners are walking distance from Stodmarsh Nature Reserve and the Stour Valley Walk.

Prices for homes at Oakdene at The Hoplands begin at £334,995. Find out more about it.

Two brand new show homes will open their doors at The Mill at Springfield, which is set on the site of the former Whatman Paper Mill in Maidstone. These new homes, the ‘Fitzroy’ and ‘Wilmington’, both have four bedrooms and reflect the brick exteriors of the existing buildings and are from Redrow’s Regent Collection.

The ‘Fitzroy’ is the perfect four-bedroom townhouse, with a balcony off the first-floor lounge, while the ground floor family and dining area opens out into the garden through French doors. The principal bedroom and second bedroom both come with en suite bathrooms, with two further bedrooms sharing the family bathroom. An integral garage and separate laundry cupboard on the ground floor of the ‘Fitzroy’ makes this a practical and spacious option for any buyer.

The ‘Wilmington’ is set across two-and-a-half storeys and cleverly combines space and style. The kitchen is located at the front of the home, with a generous lounge opening out into the garden at the rear of the property. Three bedrooms are provided on the first floor, while the principal bedroom spanning the top floor gives buyers an en suite bathroom, space for fitted wardrobes and lots of additional storage. The bedroom also has a dormer window looking out over the front of the new home.

Stuart Galloway, area sales manager at Redrow South East, commented: “It is fantastic to be launching our show homes at The Mill at Springfield. The homes are located in such an idyllic location on the banks of the River Medway and opening our show homes is a great opportunity for our buyers to see both our news home and their setting. Maidstone is a great spot to buy with lots of excellent schools, shops nearby and fantastic commuter links.”

The Mill at Springfield is in the ideal location for those working in both Maidstone or London, with the town being just a ten-minute walk from the development and the station providing links to London Victoria in less than an hour.

Prices for homes at The Mill at Springfield begin at £409,995. Find out more about it.

Help to Buy is available at both developments. Redrow show homes and marketing suites are open seven days a week and appointments can either be booked online, over the phone or walk-ins are also welcome. The company has developed robust plans for its workforce and customers which include stringent social distancing protocols, rigorous cleaning regimes and a range of physical measures to reduce the spread of Covid-19. This includes several already fitted adaptations to sales centres and site facilities. Interested buyers can also access virtual viewings online, speak to sales consultants remotely and legally reserve a new home via the housebuilder’s dedicated MyRedrow customer portal.
