Persona has launched the first homes at its Watling Grange development in North Yorkshire to purchase off-plan...

With an official launch in September, developer Persona has released the new homes at its Watling Grange development in Harrogate for keen buyers to purchase off-plan.

It’s a collection of ‘one-of-a-kind’ homes which will be designed in line with Harrogate’s architectural history. The new homes, priced from £280,000, will reflect the stone architecture which has given Harrogate its famous look but combine this with many modern features such as free-flowing open-plan living, large dual-aspect windows and a high specification throughout.

Watling Grange Residents will also benefit from the creation of ‘The Meadows’; a wonderful green space with a network of footpaths, cycle ways, allotments and community gardens.

The developer expects that like previous developments up and down the country, demand for the two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom homes is likely to be high. In all, around 350 homes will be built on the site of the 46-acre former quarry, about three miles from the town.

The development has a range of different house types which offer versatile living spaces, perfect for the new work/life balance that is becoming more important in the ‘new normal’.

David Waddington, of estate agent Linley & Simpson, who are supporting the launch of Watling Grange said: “We are delighted to launch this fantastic development to market. Persona may be a new name to Harrogate, but its team brings to this bullseye location at Watling Grange a proven track record in bringing new homes to life. For the first time, Harrogate homebuyers will be able to experience first-hand its novel approach which puts the whole community at the very heart of the scheme – before during and after its creation.”

Watling Grange Joe Cook, executive director of development at Persona, said: “We have been blown away by the attention Persona’s homes have received nationally. We knew we had something special but we didn’t expect to have such a high profile within two years. We want to be different to all the other large housing developers across the UK and ensure we are building the right homes in the right places.”

Watling Grange will officially launch at the end of September, but houses are already available to be reserved.

For anyone wanting to get a first look at the development, a full-sized scale model of the finished site is available to view in the Harrogate marketing suite of Yorkshire estate agents Linley & Simpson.
