Housebuilder’s West Sussex Coastal Homes For £400,000 Budget

Keith OsbornePersimmon Homes, one of Britain’s largest housebuilders, is offering a number of two- and three-bedroom homes at its current sites in West Sussex and for buyers with a £400,000 budget, there are some great options to consider.
Castle Park @ West Durrington could be the ideal choice for lovers of the coast, being located on the outskirts of Worthing and Goring-by-Sea, and a short drive to the beach. It’s also on the edge of the South Downs, perfect for scenic hiking and cycling. Durrington-on-Sea has its own railway station on the line to London Victoria.
Prices here start at £310,000 right now, but for a £400,000 budget, buyers could consider ‘The Danbury’ from £390,000, with its good-sized living room, an open-plan kitchen/diner room, family bathroom, two double bedrooms (one with en suite), and a single bedroom that could make a great study. This house type comes in semi-detached and terrace versions. An alternative, from £395,000, is ‘The Chester’, which is similar upstairs, while downstairs, the kitchen/breakfast room is at the front and the living room with French doors to the garden is at the rear.
Another option for a coastal home is Hampton Park, in the well-served resort of Littlehampton. Aside from its on range of shops and amenities, a railway station and proximity to the A27 puts a host of other towns within an easy journey, being well under an hour to places like Chichester, Portsmouth and Brighton.
‘The Ashworth’ house type
Persimmon is currently offering apartments and houses for sale on Phase 4 here, suitable for budgets from £255,000 to £530,000. At £390,000, ‘The Ashworth’ comes is an attractive contemporary style with lots of glazing to maximise natural light. There are two double bedrooms, with an en suite to bedroom one, while the this bedroom could make a perfect nursery or office. The kitchen/diner is at the front and the living room at the rear, with French doors to the garden. For slightly more, from £400,000, ‘The Lockwood’ is a detached, double-fronted house. Off one side of the hallway is the lounge in doors to the garden, on the other the kitchen/dining room, which has a useful utility room. Spacious bedroom one comes with an en suite, the other two bedrooms share the family bathroom.
Finally, Manor Gardens is at the southernmost point of the Manhood Peninsula, close to The Witterings, Chichester Harbour and Bognor Regis and perfect for easy access to the cliffs and extensive sandy beaches. It has good shops and enmities of its own and is just a 20-minute drive for many more in Chichester.
Starting prices here range from £317,995 to £489,995 for the current selection of two-, three- and four-bedroom houses for sale. Well within our target budget, from £359,995 to £364,995, ‘The Rendlesham’ has a lounge at the front which leads to the kitchen/dining room at the back, where French doors access the garden. A cloakroom and storage space complete the downstairs layout. There’s great storage off the landing too, complemented by the bathroom and three bedrooms. Another option, from £389,995, is ‘The Charnwood Corner’. This has a lounge with French doors to the garden, and the utility room of the kitchen/diner has its own door to the outside too. The largest of the three bedrooms comes with an en suite, and two bedrooms have walk-in storage. There’s a family bathroom too,
