Right now, for house-hunters in Devon, Persimmon Homes offers a number of homes within a £250,000...

Persimmon Homes, one of Britain’s largest housebuilders, is currently offering a number of two-bedroom homes at sites in Devon to suit buyers with a £250,000 budget.

Located on the edge of Dartmoor in Okehampton, Fatherford View has two-, three- and four-bedroom houses priced from £214,500 up to £539,950. There’s a great selection of independent shops, eateries, schools and leisure facilities in the historic town, within walking distance of the development. There’s much more to explore in Exeter too, just half-an-hour away. Here, for the budget we are considering, buyers could look at ‘The Alnmouth’, from £214,500. This mid-terrace house has an open-plan downstairs combing kitchen, dining and living room, and there’s also a WC off the hallway. There’s plenty of built-in storage to bedroom one, which shares the bathroom with a second bedroom that could make a perfect home office.

Ashworth Place is under five miles from central Exeter and has two-, three- and four-bedroom homes from £244,995. There are plenty of local amenities and a great choice of both primary and secondary schools close to home. Exeter has excellent transport links and this part of the world provides great access to delightful countryside and coast. This end-of-terrace house, ‘The Morden’, at £244,995 has an open-plan kitchen/living and dining room, with French out to the garden. There’s also a downstairs cloakroom. Both bedrooms are doubles and share a family bathroom. There’s a private parking space at the front of the home.

There are also examples of ‘The Morden’ currently for sale at Swan Park, situated on the outskirts of Dawlish but under two miles from the town centre. The development is opposite a Sainsbury’s store but it’s only a few minutes to a range of shops and amenities and a great choice of places to go out for a drink and meal. Exeter is only 30 minutes away. The mid-terrace version starts at £236,995, while the end-of-terrace version starts at £244,995.

Currently being sold from Swan Park, Bradley Barton View in Newton Abbot comprises two-, three- and four-bedroom homes in a residential area on the western side of town, but only a few minutes from the shops, amenities and railway station at the centre. The A38 is only eight minutes away. At the moment, prices here start from £249,995, which is for another example of ‘The Alnwick’, which comes with private parking at the front.
