Pennyfarthing Homes has announced the launch of more homes at developments in east Dorset and on the Hampshire coast.

The award-winning housebuilder is launching the second phase of its Potters Wood development near Verwood on Saturday 28 November. Following the sell-out of phase one, the latest new homes will be released off-plan.

Set in a semi-rural position on the edge of Verwood will be a selection of three- and four-bedroom detached and semi-detached homes. In addition to the homes available for private sale, some 35% of the proposed new dwellings will offer affordable housing in a mixture of Shared Ownership and rental, to meet local housing needs.

In addition to the new homes, Pennyfarthing Homes is providing a raft of improvements to the local community, including a substantial area of SANG (Suitable Alternative Natural Green) space to the north of the site, comprising woodland and grassland, a wildflower meadow, wet grassland and open water. The mature oak trees and hedgerows on the edges and within the site will be retained and enhanced where appropriate. These together with new planting will help to protect and enhance the habitat and biodiversity.

Sheetal Smith, sales and marketing director for Pennyfarthing Homes, commented: “We are delighted to be creating more homes in this special location. With the first phase at Potters Wood proving extremely popular we are looking forward to progressing this fantastic extension to Potters Wood, adding to the high-quality community and delivering much needed homes and affordable housing.. We’re anticipating high demand for the homes so we’re excited to be launching off-plan from the 28 November to enable interested buyers to secure their plots quickly and look forward to moving in next year.”

The option to secure your home off-plan with a deposit brings with it the freedom to personalise your finished home from a choice of kitchen and bathroom finishes.

Ahead of the November launch, house-hunters can register their interest in one of the exceptional homes, all of which are ideal for those looking to up or downsize.

Abbey CourtAbbey Court

At the end of October, the company launched an exclusive development in New Milton. Abbey Court is less than five minutes’ walk from the well-served high street and comprises just 10 two-bedroom luxury apartments with one of these open as a show home for interested buyers to view during a private one-to-one appointment. Three units have already been sold.

Each home features an open-plan kitchen/dining room, separate utility room, a study and a spacious, light-filled living room with private balcony to the first and second floors and private patio to the ground floor homes. The master bedroom boasts a built-in wardrobe and en suite.

Paul Briers, a partner at selling agent Mitchells Estate Agency, said: “We enjoyed a hugely successful launch day with plenty of viewings. Abbey Court was very well received which is evident in the sales taken. The market remains as strong as it has ever been and the area attracts many house hunters from further afield. Whilst we are seeing the trend for people moving out of cities to more rural or coastal spots like New Milton, Abbey Court is proving very popular with local house hunters as they are aware of the high quality and the reputation of the Pennyfarthing Homes brand. Of course, there is also still the driver of the Stamp Duty holiday until March 2021, which at Abbey Court represents a saving of up to £12,500.”

Among the nearby highlights are the five-star Chewton Glen, the New Forest National Park, the charming harbour town of Lymington and the award-winning sandy beaches of Dorset. New Milton also boasts fantastic rail connections to Southampton and Bournemouth, both with international airports, and good links to London Waterloo.

Prices for the two-bedroom homes start from £420,000.
