Barratt London has launched its latest collection of homes in Harrow, named after trailblazing photographer Emma Barton.

Barratt London has launched its latest collection of homes in Harrow, named after trailblazing photographer Emma Barton. Emma was an English portrait photographer who was ahead of her time and hailed as the leading pictorial photographer[1] in the early 1900s. Barton Apartments can be found at the Barratt’s Eastman Village site in Harrow, Located on the site of the former Kodak film factory and references George Eastman, legendary founder of Kodak.

For Eastman Village, the renowned housebuilder is working with prolific architect Pollard Thomas Edwards to build 2,000 modern homes that blend seamlessly with the iconic Kodak site. The design features red bricks throughout the development to reference the original Kodak buildings, while subtle graphics in the signage and balcony screens are inspired by the site’s rich heritage.
Eastman Village is part of a larger £1.75bn improvement scheme in Harrow which will include two new schools, 3,000 jobs, shops, leisure facilities and commercial space.

The developments rates well at 3.9 out 5 on the WhatHouse transport ratings with- five different train lines running into the capital, and an Education Ratings of 4.2 out of 5.
Travelling into central London is a breeze from Eastman Village. Residents can reach Euston Station in just 12 minutes by train from Harrow & Wealdstone station, which is just a 12-minute walk away, or travel directly on the underground via the Bakerloo line. This enables central London living in zone 5. And, for those looking to travel further afield, the development is near to the new TfL Superloop which connects Harrow to Heathrow, North Finchley, White City and multiple key outer-London town centres.

The Education Rating is strong at 4.2 with more than 30 local schools in Harrow that have been given the top Ofsted rating of “Outstanding”, the development is set to be a popular location for families and commuters alike. The town is best known for the prestigious school that bears its name, but it also has plenty more excellent schools for its residents. In fact, 98 per cent of schools in Harrow are judged by Ofsted as ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’, making it an ideal choice for families.

The development rates well for green space which can be found in abundance in the surrounding areas – the development sits next to a landscaped park which will serve as the new Green Link in the heart of residential Harrow. Barton Apartments will be the closest block to the new link and its 6.2 acres of green space, as well as Headstone Manor – one of Harrow’s most famous tourist attractions with its green park and museum. There is also a newly opened residents' gym, planned cafés, restaurant, onsite school, multiple playgrounds and an on-site supermarket for the wider development. Fittingly, these are the closest homes to Headstone Lane Overground station on the newly named Suffragette line, another nod to women who made history, which is a 14-minute walk away.

The newest launch at Eastman Village will be ready for residents to move into in the latter half of 2025. Apartments come in one- two-and three-bedroom layouts with access to landscaped podium gardens, underground parking and balconies on selected plots.

There are 35 residences at the Barton Apartments, featuring one-, two-, and three-bedroom duplex apartments with a balcony and terrace in all homes. Prices start from £339,000.
