Completion Of Phase One At Wakefield Site

Posted 26 April 2021 by Keith Osborne

The second and third phases from Miller Homes at City Fields offer a further selection at the major development...

Miller Homes has completed the final property in the first phase of its work at the City Fields development in Wakefield, but continues building and selling at Phases 2 and 3.

“Our original City Fields development has proved hugely popular and brought some wonderful new homes to the area, including the two eye-catching crescents, one of which frames a lovely entrance into the development,” said Sarah Whinfrey, regional sales manager, Miller Homes Yorkshire. “The entire site is really starting to take shape and it is so rewarding to be able to play our part in shaping this new community for the people of Wakefield.”

The Lodge at City Fields and The Gables at City Fields are this housebuilder’s next parts of the ongoing construction taking place over the 375-hectare site which will complement some 2,500 new homes with natural open spaces, new cycle ways and footpaths and new social, education and leisure facilities.

The award-winning team of Michael Ramsbottom, site manager, and Jenny Morris, development sales manager, has also garnered the accolade of 100% NHBC customer satisfaction rating from all customers at the development. Both have worked together since the inception of the development in 2017 and have proved to be an intrinsic part in its ongoing success which has seen 118 reservations complete on a brand new Miller home at City Fields.

Whinfrey continued: “City Fields will continue to be a hugely popular place to live and, during 2021, construction work on added facilities including shops, retail and a nursery in the public square is expected to begin, only adding to the community and village like atmosphere. The aim of the project was to create a new community and to bring much needed homes, in well-designed settings to the local area and everyone involved is well on the way to delivering this.”

Prices start from £222,995 for a three-bedroom ‘Masterton’ or ‘Overton’ style of home at The Gables whilst prices currently start from £269,995 for a four-bedroom ‘Malory’ style of home at The Lodge. Both these new phases have sales centres and show homes open by appointment Thursday to Monday, from 10.30am to 5.30pm.
