A Hollywood glamour-themed show house opens at Miller Homes' Millerbank development on Saturday 30 April...

Miller Homes is launching a three-bedroom ‘Urquhart’ show home at its new Millerbank development in Clydebank on Saturday 30 April.

The popular new neighbourhood, which is already over 60% sold, has been specifically designed to be in keeping with the industrial heritage of Clydebank and features contemporary dark-brick work that gives the development a unique look and feel.

The new show home is the ‘jewel in the crown’ at Millerbank, specifically designed with a distinctly glamorous feel, giving prospective buyers a touch of glitz with its luxurious interiors. Textures and tones set the mood in this home. Statement mirrors, bold light fixtures, oversized vases and contemporary accessories are all brought together by striking wallpaper and abstract pieces of art that are simple yet effective and run throughout the home.

Interior designer Eileen Kesson explained: “Miller Homes’ show homes are designed to inspire and delight buyers so they can see all the creative options when buying a new build home. This ‘Urquhart’ show home embodies the lavish Hollywood glamour trend. Here we’ve used a great mixture of neutral tones and glittery textures to create a delicate flow through the home from the moment you set foot through the door.”

Upon entering, buyers are greeted with a sleek white kitchen that instantly lights up the room and complements the rhinestone textured horizontal stripe wallpaper. At the rear of the home, the open-plan dining and living area features French doors to the garden, perfect for enjoying alfresco dining in the summer months. The bespoke gem-effect wallpaper is subtle yet show-stopping, while the on-trend cream sofa and bold metal spun hanging lights in the corner of the lounge creates a soft atmospheric tone, perfect for relaxing after a long day at work.

MillerbankAn array of statement mirrors in all shapes and sizes and quirky contemporary art prints bind the rooms together and make the house a perfect place to call home.

Upstairs has been designed with versatility in mind. The principal bedroom is inspired by the glamour of Marilyn Monroe, with a Hollywood glamour theme including an extravagant curved bed with luxurious bedding and shimmery silver Roman blinds. Bedroom two has been designed with a beautiful dark wood desk to showcase the flexibility for working from home. This room boasts a bold cream and black textured wallpaper creating an arty papier-mâché effect. Bedroom three is set up as a children’s nursery, with a feature wall using a subtle white and silver polka-dotted wallpaper for a calming feel.

The bathroom has Porcelanosa tiling. Using contrasting tiles on the floor and walls, Eileen Kesson has created an indulgent look and feel with texture and neutral tones.

This three-bedroom home type could suit for first-time buyers looking to secure a starter home or families looking to downsize. The setting of three-bedroom terraced homes and townhouses is surrounded by Clydebank’s historic town centre and ample local amenities, including a railway station just five minutes by foot, it’s easy to see why this location is ever popular with buyers.

Enjoy the perks of urban living and secure your dream new build home today. Interested buyers can book an appointment to visit the ‘Urquhart’ show home. Find out more about Millerbank from Miller Homes.
