Special Jubilee Party For Thatcham Retirees And Friends

Posted 17 May 2022 by Helen Christie

The team at McCarthy Stone’s William House Retirement Living Plus development on The Moors in Thatcham is inviting local retirees to join them to help mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee…

In a very special celebration that is truly “fit for a Queen”, homeowners at McCarthy Stone’s William House, and its neighbouring Retirement Living development, Turner Place, will welcome local retirees and their friends and families to the development on Thursday 2 June between 2pm and 4pm for a range of traditionally British refreshments.

Attendees will also be entertained with live music from Scarlet Swing in the dual development’s beautifully landscaped gardens.

Verity McKay, divisional marketing manager for McCarthy Stone Southern, comments: “The Queen’s Jubilee is truly a momentous occasion, and so we thought it was only fitting that we put on a special celebration so our homeowners, and the local community, can join in the celebrations.

“Some of our homeowners remember the Queen’s Coronation all those 70 years ago, so our event will be an opportunity for them to get together, share their stories and remember times gone by. We’d like to encourage anyone interested in attending to come to our development and help us celebrate the Queen and our British history – everyone is welcome.”

McCarthy Stone, the UK’s leading developer and manager of retirement communities, is hosting over 450 events at its developments throughout the UK to help commemorate the Queen.

The Turner Place Retirement Living development is situated next to the William House Retirement Living Plus development on The Moors, offering two exclusive options to suit all stages of retirement.

Turner Place has been exclusively designed for an independent lifestyle for the over 60s, while William House bridges the gap between traditional residential care and independent living for the over 70s.

Featuring beautiful, landscaped gardens and a courtyard area, a stylish communal lounge perfect for socialising with friends and neighbours and a hotel style guest suite which offers a home for family and friends, Turner Place provides an ideal downsizing option for retirees.

The William House Retirement Living Plus development offers all the same benefits of Turner Place, with a little extra help on hand should it be required. The development has an on-site Estate Manager, and an experienced team is on hand day and night to oversee the running of the development, and to provide tailored domestic support packages to suit individual needs.

William House has a 24-hour emergency call system in place to provide emergency assistance should it ever be needed. The development also features an on-site bistro style restaurant serving fresh meals daily, and a guest suite for family to stay in when they visit.

Prices at Turner Place, which is now 70% sold, currently start from £265,000 for a one-bedroom apartment and from £385,000 for a two-bedroom. At William House, a one-bedroom apartment is currently priced from £250,000 and a two-bedroom starts at £349,000. Rental and part-buy part-rent options are also available. Prospective buyers who book a viewing at either Turner Place or William House by 31 July will receive a £20 John Lewis gift card on visiting as a thank you from McCarthy Stone.

Those interested in booking a place at McCarthy Stone’s Jubilee event are invited to call 0800 310 0383.
