Retirement Properties In Beccles In High Demand

Posted 9 August 2021 by Keith Osborne

There are just a few homes left for sale at Elliott Garrood Gardens – but there's an upcoming launch for more at Foundry Place...

McCarthy Stone has announced that Elliott Garrood Gardens, its development in Beccles, Suffolk, has proved a roaring success, with just six properties remaining.

Elliott Garrood Gardens, and the neighbouring Foundry Place, are located just a short walk from the town centre, and offer easy access to Beccles’ amenities, including the famous market square, a variety of shops and eateries. Homeowners can also enjoy the town’s historic buildings, strong community spirit, and the many events on the River Waveney, such as the Duck Race, the late-night Christmas event and Beccles Carnival.

Whilst the remaining properties at Elliott Garrood Gardens are selling fast, retirees can register their interest in the collection of Retirement Living Plus apartments at Foundry Place. Construction is already underway on the development and the apartments are expected to be released for off-plan sales in September 2021, with the first residents scheduled to move in Spring 2022.

Cheryl Bissett, divisional sales and marketing director at McCarthy Stone Midlands, commented: “We have been truly overwhelmed by the fantastic response to Elliott Garrood Gardens. It’s fantastic to see so many people recognising the benefits of independent, low-maintenance living and who have subsequently started planning to live their retirement to the full at our new community.

“For many of us, lockdown has made us reassess our housing needs, and we are seeing more retirees deciding to downsize their home, which is why we are pleased to be providing retirees in Beccles with another chance to become part of a vibrant and lively community, when our Retirement Living Plus development, Foundry Place launches in the autumn.

“The low-maintenance living available at Foundry Place will allow retirees to stay independent for longer, become part of a thriving community and spend their time doing the things they love. I would encourage those interested in finding out more to get in touch as soon as possible.”

Once complete, Foundry Place will comprise of 55 one- and two-bedroom apartments. The development will also feature a homeowners lounge, ideal for socialising; landscaped gardens in which to relax; and a hotel-style guest suite, which provides a comfortable stay for visiting family and friends.

Designed to provide complete peace-of-mind, there will be an estates team on hand around the clock, along with a security entrance system and 24-hour emergency call points. An on-site bistro will serve fresh and nutritious meals daily for those who do not wish to cook in their apartments, and domestic assistance packages can be tailored to suit individuals.
