Local retirees are being invited to book a spot to tour Weavers House, a Retirement Living development in Kent, taking place on Friday 31 March and Saturday 1 April between 11.00am and 4.00pm on each day.

Located on Highgate Hill, Weavers House is a development for the over-60s by McCarthy Stone, a specialist retirement housebuilder which has won many prestigious WhatHouse? Awards in recent years.

Facilities here will include a communal lounge – great for meeting the neighbours - beautifully-designed landscaped gardens, and a hotel-style guest suite allowing visitors to stay overnight.

Appointments for the Sparkling Opening are limited and so should be booked in advance by calling 0800 153 3435.

Sam Watkins, divisional sales director at McCarthy Stone, commented: “Across the UK, so many retirees are seeking to downsize but retain their independence in their retirement years, and Sussex is no exception. Work is gathering pace at Weavers House, and we look forward to welcoming the first homeowners this summer.

“The Sparkling Opening will give visitors the chance to see for themselves exactly the type of independent lifestyle on offer from McCarthy Stone: spacious, well-appointed homes, paired with enviable on-site facilities, within a lively community of like-minded people. We’re already receiving strong interest in living at this community and so would urge anyone interested to get booked in for the open days.”

Once complete, Weavers House will comprise a total of 43 one- and two-bedroom apartments all designed for over-60s seeking maximum independence in their golden years. Each home will boast a fully fitted kitchen, a luxurious bathroom, and bright, spacious living areas. A camera entry system and 24-hour emergency call system will provide reassurance for both homeowners and their families. Several apartments here have already been reserved off-plan.

Purchase prices at Weavers House start from £398,500 for a one-bedroom home and from £459,900 for a two-bedroom home. Flexible finance options are also available. Find out more from McCarthy Stone.
