Posted 18 November 2022 by Keith Osborne

McCarthy Stone has launched off-plan a collection of apartments and houses in central Ipswich...

Exclusive properties at a new Retirement Living development in Ipswich have now been released for off-plan sales.

Over-60s in Ipswich are now able to reserve one of 61 luxury new dwellings at McCarthy Stone’s Thomas Wolsey Place development on Lower Brook Street in the centre of Ipswich. Construction is well under way at Thomas Wolsey Place, where 25 one- and 25 two-bedroom apartments will be complemented by 11 two-bedroom townhouses.

Designed for low maintenance and luxury living, each property is fitted with a high-specification kitchen and bathroom, and features a spacious living area. A variety of options are available including outright purchase, rental, or part-buy part-rent.

David Meachem, divisional sales director for McCarthy Stone commented: “Our development at Thomas Wolsey Place is rapidly taking shape as work continues and we are now delighted to be able to release the properties for sale off-plan. We anticipate strong demand given the quality and location of the development and the local amenities available – Ipswich offers plenty and we invite anyone interested in a home at Thomas Wolsey Place to get in touch as soon as possible.”

Residents will be able to enjoy a variety of shared features including landscaped gardens and a communal lounge making it easy to make new friends. A luxury guest suite will allow visitors to enjoy an overnight stay.

A camera entry system, intruder alarms and a 24-hour emergency call system mean no security worries while a house manager will live on-site, providing additional support.

Located centrally within Ipswich, Thomas Wolsey Place offers easy access to town centre retail and Ipswich Waterfront with its broad selection of restaurants and cafés. A short bus ride will take residents to the railway station and hospital, while the Old Cattle Market Bus Station is nearby too. A supermarket, pharmacy and two doctors’ surgeries are within walking distance of the development.

Locals interested in purchasing an apartment at Thomas Wolsey Place can visit The River Church Ipswich where they will be able to speak with a sales consultant about the apartments and Thomas Wolsey Place. Appointments are available every Wednesday and Thursday until early 2023.

One-bedroom apartments start from £214,950 with two-bedroom apartments available from £289,950 and townhouses from £259,950. Find out more about McCarthy Stone developments in the East of England.
