Off-Plan Launch Of Retirement Apartments In Suffolk Market Town

Posted 1 November 2021 by Keith Osborne

McCarthy Stone has launched Foundry Place, offering 55 one- and two-bedroom homes for over-70s in Beccles...

Following the success of its Elliott Garrood Gardens development off the Gosford Road in Beccles, McCarthy Stone has now released its collection of exclusive apartments at the neighbouring Foundry Place Retirement Living Plus development for off-plan sales.

The one- and two-bedroom apartments at the new retirement community are currently under construction, with first homeowners expected to move in Spring 2022. Each individual property is designed to meet retirees’ needs, featuring spacious living areas and high-specification kitchens and bathrooms.

Situated in the historic community of Beccles, Foundry Place is located just a short walk from the town centre, and offers easy access to Beccles’ amenities, including the famous market square, a variety of shops and eateries. Homeowners can also enjoy the town’s historic buildings, strong community spirit, and the many events on the River Waveney, such as the Duck Race, the late-night Christmas event and Beccles Carnival.

The McCarthy Stone team in Beccles are now booking one-to-one appointments at its sales office located in Coach House 9 at the neighbouring development, Elliott Garrood Gardens. Appointments will be managed with the safety of visitors in mind, and all those who attend will receive an information pack, which contains a brochure, floor plans, prices, and service charge details. There will also be an opportunity for retirees to make a reservation and secure their stake in Foundry Place.

Cheryl Bissett, divisional sales and marketing director at McCarthy Stone Midlands, commented: “We’ve had a fantastic response to our neighbouring development of bungalows, Elliott Garrood Gardens, so we’re very excited to announce that local retirees now have the choice to reserve a stylish apartment at Foundry Place too.

Foundry Place offers a unique opportunity in retirement living, having been specifically designed for those who want to live their retirement to the full as part of a vibrant new community, which also benefits from a fantastic choice of cafes, restaurants and shops right on its doorstep.

“We have already experienced high levels of demand for these properties, so I would urge interested purchasers to get in touch and book a one-to-one appointment as soon as possible – these will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.”

Once complete, Foundry Place will comprise 55 one- and two-bedroom apartments. The development will also feature a communal lounge, ideal for socialising; beautiful, landscaped gardens in which to relax; and a hotel-style guest suite, which provides a comfortable stay for visiting family and friends.

Designed to provide complete peace-of-mind, there will be an estates team on hand around the clock, along with a security entrance system and 24-hour emergency call points. An on-site bistro will serve fresh and nutritious meals daily for those who do not wish to cook in their apartments, and domestic assistance packages can be tailored to suit individuals.

Prices currently start from £214,950 for a one-bedroom apartment and £304,950 for a two-bedroom apartment. Find out more about Foundry Place from McCarthy Stone.
