Mayor Of Lichfield Officially Opens New Retirement Development

Posted 13 April 2023 by Keith Osborne

There's been an opening ceremony at McCarthy Stone's Stowe Place development of apartments for over-70s...

Mayor and Mayoress of Lichfield, Councillors Jamie and Stephanie Checkland, recently officially opened the new Retirement Living Plus development in Lichfield, Stowe Place, the latest development from WhatHouse? Award-winning specialist developer, McCarthy Stone.

Event attendees celebrated with a glass of fizz, with many of the visitors taking a tour of the development, where a thriving retirement community has been established. Its one- and two-bedroom apartments for the over-70s are safe and secure, with an estate manager on hand to take care of the day-to-day running of the development, while a 24-hour emergency call system provides added peace-of-mind. An hour’s domestic support every week is included – more if you want it, plus the option of tailored personal care on tap should you need it. Stowe Place also features a chef-run bistro, a communal lounge for parties and celebrations – and pets are welcome too.

Councillor Jamie Checkland said: “It was fantastic to see so many people at the opening event and to have the chance to meet the team, the homeowners, and their families. It’s clear to see the new community is flourishing at Stowe Place with homeowners enjoying a full and independent lifestyle.”

David Meachem, divisional sales director at McCarthy Stone, added: “The event was thoroughly enjoyed by all, and we’d like to say a huge thank you to the Mayor and Mayoress of Lichfield, Councillors Jamie and Stephanie Checkland, for paying us a visit at Stowe Place and officially opening the development. Stowe Place has proven to be very popular due to the enviable lifestyle on offer, pairing top-quality, low-maintenance homes with great on-site facilities to enable our homeowners to get the most out of their retirement years.”

For those who want to purchase outright, prices start from £286,695 for a one-bedroom apartment and from £390,195 for a two-bedroom. Flexible finance options are also available to make moving even easier. Find out more about Stowe Place from McCarthy Stone.
