Posted 10 November 2022 by Keith Osborne

McCarthy Stone is giving house-hunters over-70 a chance to see first hand the type of properties coming to Knox Court...

Retirees in and around Rugby are being invited to take a first look at the show suite at an exclusive new development in Warwickshire by McCarthy Stone, the specialist retirement developer and winner of numerous WhatHouse? Awards.

The show suite is now open for viewing at the Knox Court Retirement Living Plus development on Bilton Road, where work is well under way to create 27 one-bedroom and 35 two-bedroom retirement apartments designed specifically to meet the needs of over-70s. The first occupants are expected to move into Knox Court in the new year, and several properties have already been reserved off-plan.

As well as exploring the show suite, visitors can discover more about McCarthy Stone Retirement Living Plus living which pairs maximum independence with tailored domestic support packages to enable homeowners to enjoy a truly fulfilling retirement.

David Meachem, divisional sales director for McCarthy Stone, explained: “Knox Court will offer everything the over-70s need to live as independently as possible in a low-maintenance home within a unique community with exclusive facilities on-site. We’ve already had significant interest in the properties at Knox Court and the show suite will bring it all to life, so we would urge anyone interested to schedule a visit as soon as they can.”

Each property will boast generous living space with a high-specification kitchen and bathroom, and is available for outright purchase, rental or part-buy, part-rent.

Facilities for residents will include a communal lounge which will host regular events, courtyard gardens, an on-site bistro serving a range of tasty meals, and a hotel-style guest suite allowing family and friends to enjoy an overnight stay. As a Retirement Living Plus development, staff will be on hand around the clock to provide support to residents, while peace of mind is further assured through a camera entry system and 24/7 call system.

Prices at Knox Court start from £232,995 for a one-bedroom property and £302,995 for a two-bedroom property.

Located centrally in Rugby, Knox Court offers rapid access to nearby shops and restaurants as well as the chance to explore the historic town which still holds a market on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays – something it has done since the year 1235. The town is known the world over as the home of the sport of Rugby, established in 1823 when Rugby School pupil William Webb Ellis defied the rules of football at the time by picking up the ball and running with it.
