Interior Design Event In Waltham Abbey

Posted 4 August 2022 by Helen Christie

McCarthy Stone is hosting a free interior design event at its Lionheart Court Retirement Living development in Waltham Abbey…

Style and design will be the focus of an afternoon at the Lionheart Court Retirement Living development in Waltham Abbey in August, as local retirees will be treated to a style demonstration and mood-boarding workshop from McCarthy Stone’s team of expert interior designers.

Taking place on Tuesday 9 August between 2:30pm to 5pm, the free event will offer local retirees the opportunity to make the most of their home. From decorating and furnishing, to choosing artwork and accessories, the designers will be on hand to show guests the best way to create a tailor-made interior that is truly unique to them.

In addition to drinks and nibbles, guests can enjoy a talk on home design by McCarthy Stone’s interior designers, Kate Russell and Libby Cole, a design workshop and style demonstration by Jorden Lynch, McCarthy Stone stylist, and a tour of the exclusive show apartment. Kate, Libby, and Jorden have a wealth of knowledge on interior design and will be on hand to offer advice and style tips, as well introducing some of the season’s new trends.

Sara Jacks, head of interior design at McCarthy Stone comments: “Our in-house interior design team are responsible for the look and feel of every development, including our beautiful communal lounges. Life at McCarthy Stone is reflected in the interior design. We bring a sense of togetherness and empowerment by creating multi-faceted spaces that people love living in. We always design with the customer in mind aiming to enrich people’s lives. We are not quick to follow fast-moving trends. When I think of a design at McCarthy Stone developments I think of comfort, style, and relaxation.”

Emma Falzon, divisional marketing manager for McCarthy Stone, says: “We know from our own research that todays over-65s are favouring stylish home environments they can tailor to their modern and vibrant lifestyles, with many saying that they have more self-confidence in their style now than ever before.

“They don’t want to follow the crowd, they want to put their own stamp on things, which is why we see so many preferring to avoid short lived trends and instead stick to classic, timeless styles when it comes to the interior décor of their apartment.

“Our exclusive Home Styling event at Lionheart Court is the perfect opportunity to find out all about the latest interior style trends, those simple changes that can make all the difference to brightening up or adding character or colour to a blank canvas. It’s set to be a fantastic event, so we encourage anyone who is interested in joining us to book their place now.”

Places at the event are limited so guests are strongly encouraged to book in advance by calling 0800 201 4811.

Situated on Sewardstone Road in Waltham Abbey, Lionheart Court features a stylish and welcoming homeowners’ lounge, ideal for socialising with friends, landscaped gardens, and a hotel-style guest suite for when homeowners have friends or relatives to stay. A friendly house manager oversees the development day-to-day and a secure entry system and 24-hour call points in every apartment provide added peace-of-mind.
