Event At Over-60s Apartment Development In Stow-On-The-Wold

Posted 11 August 2022 by Keith Osborne

Next week, McCarthy Stone hosts an event for residents and interested home-seekers at Hawkesbury Place...

People in Stow-on-the-Wold are invited to join homeowners at McCarthy Stone’s Hawkesbury Place Retirement Living Plus development for a fun-filled afternoon when the development hosts its ‘Strawberry and Pimm’s’ Celebration.

Those who come along to the development on Fosse Way between 2.00pm and 4.00pm on Wednesday 17 August, will be able to enjoy refreshments in the development’s garden whilst having the opportunity to take a tour of Hawkesbury Place and explore the apartments and impressive communal spaces.

The development boasts a luxurious lounge complete with free Wi-Fi, a function room and landscaped gardens – all ideal for meeting friends, neighbours and family for a drink and a chat. These communal facilities are set to become the developments social hubs – the place to be for regular clubs, events and meet-ups to suit all sorts of interests.

Hawkesbury Place’s friendly estates team are always onsite and there’s even a chef-run restaurant at the development, for when homeowners don’t feel like cooking. Each homeowner there will also receive an hour’s domestic support every week with the option for more if needed.

David Meacham, divisional sales director for McCarthy Stone, said: “This event offers locals the perfect opportunity to come and enjoy an afternoon full of not only wonderful refreshments, but great company. Guests will also have the chance to discover the benefits of downsizing and becoming part of a flourishing community of retirees who are looking to live their retirement to the full. We can’t wait to open our doors for what is set to be a fabulous afternoon!”

Hawkesbury Place features a high-quality restaurant, a spacious and contemporary communal lounge, and lifts to assist with access; as well as beautiful, landscaped gardens and a hotel-style guest suite for when friends and family come to visit. An estate manager takes care of the smooth-running of the development; and domestic support packages are also available which can be tailored to a homeowner’s individual needs, including help with chores such as housework and laundry.
