Keith OsborneWhatHouse? Award-winning specialist developer McCarthy Stone is helping to bring the community together and get into the Yuletide spirit this festive season, as part of a special Christmas Open Week at its Monument Place Retirement Plus development in Salisbury.
The event will take place between Monday 12 and Friday 16 December, from 10.00am until 4.00pm each day, and will see visitors treated to mouth-watering mince pies and a warming glass or two of mulled wine while socialising with homeowners. The event is free to join with friends and families warmly welcomed.
To add to the atmosphere, the Year 2 class from local Salisbury school, St Osmund's Catholic Primary School, will also entertain attendees on 12 December from 10.30am by performing a selection of nativity songs for the enjoyment of all. What’s more, all attendees throughout the week can take the opportunity to choose one of the baubles from the Christmas tree to win one of three special prizes – a festive hamper, a bottle of wine or a Christmas pudding.
Places at the event are limited so guests are strongly encouraged to book in advance by calling 0800 153 307.
Monument Place is situated adjacent to the Castle Gate Retirement Living development to offer two exclusive options to suit all stages of retirement. The Monument Place Retirement Living Plus development has been designed for retirees aged 70 and over, while Castle Gate has been exclusively designed for those aged 60 and over.
Facilities at Castle Gate includes a spacious communal lounge; perfect for socialising with friends and new neighbours, landscaped gardens in which to relax, and a hotel-style guest suite for when friends or relatives come to stay.
Monument Place includes all these features but with the added peace-of-mind that a little extra help is on hand if needed in the form of personally tailored domestic support, with specially trained staff on-site 24 hours a day.
There is just one, one-bedroom apartment remaining at Caste Gate, which is priced at £300,000. At Monument Place, one and two-bedroom apartments are currently priced from £277,000 and £400,000 respectively. Rental and part-buy part-rent options also available to make moving even easier.
Nicki Beswarick, divisional marketing manager for McCarthy Stone Southern, commented: “Christmas is the season for bringing everyone together, which is why we’re proud to host our Christmas event for the community here at Monument Place. We can’t wait to welcome local retirees and their families to join us and raise a glass to celebrate the festive season.”
