Alan Titchmarsh Attends Grand Opening Of Baldock Retirement Community

Baldock retirees were delighted to welcome celebrity guest Alan Titchmarsh MBE to join them in celebrating the Grand Opening of a new Retirement Living Plus development on Icknield Way.

Bringing with him nearly 60 years of gardening expertise, Alan took lead of the celebrations at McCarthy Stone’s Norton Place with a demonstration on planting in cold weather and winter bedding before a ceremonial ribbon cutting.

Guests at the event, including homeowners at Norton Place and their friends and family, spent time getting to know Alan in the Owners Lounge over a glass of fizz and canapes, before embarking on a guided tour of the communal facilities within the community.

Commenting on his visit, Alan Titchmarsh said: “I was delighted to be invited to Norton Place for the Grand Opening. It was so wonderful to meet with all the homeowners and their guests, and an absolute joy to be a part of the celebrations here in Baldock.”
