Luxury Duplex Show Home Opens In SE1
An exquisitely styled new London Square Bermondsey duplex show home by interior architecture specialists Muchmore Design is now available to view at London Square Bermondsey.
The new neighbourhood, being created by the many-time winner of a prestigious WhatHouse? Award, echoes the area’s rich industrial past in converted and restored heritage buildings alongside striking new build, creating highly individual homes.
The new duplex show home is part of a collection of two- and three-bedroom duplexes with the look and feel of a house, featuring a ground floor and first floor and its own private front door, and bespoke interior detailing with the highest specification and latest technology, plus one or two outdoor private terraces, set in a landscaped residents’ square, with a gym, concierge and private underground parking. The duplexes are ready to move into this autumn.

James Woolford, project manager of Muchmore Design, explained the inspiration behind the new duplex show home. He said: “We have focused on space, family, greenery and luxury, styled to create a lived in feeling to make buyers feel at home, with a light, soft and earthy colour palette to give a fresh and airy feel, to connect with the landscaped communal gardens and outside.”
The duplex show home has its own impressive private front entrance. Inside, an expanse of living area is revealed, nearly 30ft in length and filled with natural light, with glass doors opening on to a private walled terrace. In the living area, an intricately detailed industrial-inspired, metal-finished, four-door sideboard stands centre stage, paired with a drinks cabinet for entertaining. The emphasis on “lived-in” continues with a large bespoke linen sofa, and button-back armchair for sitting back and relaxing. A marble-top console table with metal legs and side table with antique brass and enamel top continue the link to The Tannery’s industrial heritage.
The award-winning Siematic-designed kitchen is sleek and understated, with handsome glazed brick tiles and Siemens appliances, a smart island with breakfast bar, and a quiet corner with a study area, leading to a spacious dining area for more formal entertaining.

Farrow and Ball shades throughout provide a tranquil mood, contrasting with feature wallpaper leading upstairs, and Andrew Martin animal wallpaper making the baby’s room an infant haven. The master bedroom is a cocoon of moss green, with an opulent velvet fluted headboard, and detailing of the dressing area and en suite bathroom reflecting the feeling of calm.
Outside, the intimate private terrace features a statement side table made of fibre cement with a red concrete finish – perfect for entertaining al fresco.
The first residents have now moved into London Square Bermondsey, close to all the attractions of Bermondsey Street, a 12-minute walk to London Bridge station for tube and national rail. The Thames Path is just three minutes on from London Bridge, with riverboat services for commuting and leisure. There are walking and cycle route networks, with an 11-minute cycle route to Bank station, plus good bus links.
Two- and three-bedroom duplexes are priced from £1.14million. Find out more about London Square Bermondsey.
