The final homes are being released for sale at a development in Biddenham, Bedfordshire, where work is set to be completed by the end of the year.

Linden Homes, which is part of Vistry Group, is building 118 new homes in the second phase of St Marys at Kings Field, off St James Way in the village. The first phase of 129 homes at the site was completed in 2020.

The remaining properties available to reserve include the two-bedroom ‘Oakley’ coach house, the three-bedroom ‘Eveleigh’ and ‘Wyatt’ houses, and a selection of four- and five-bedroom properties – all of which will be available to move into this year.

Hannah Dorner, senior sales manager for St Marys, said: “This development is proving to be extremely popular and we are now in a position where we are selling the new homes well before they are built. When we first started building at St Marys, there was a good level of interest in the new homes but as time went by the word got out and that demand has risen dramatically. This increased interest is in part due to the top quality, high specification and excellent build finish that comes as standard with properties delivered by Linden Homes.

“The rise in popularity of St Marys is also due to the fact that people are realising that Biddenham is fast becoming a great place to live. There is more and more investment being attracted to the area which heightens the appeal of village life. The rural location offers easy access to the great outdoors, with parks, scenic river walks and bike trails on the doorstep but there’s also the bustling town of Bedford within easy reach.”

The Kings Field development, planned since 2001, will eventually deliver around 1,300 new homes and is providing a new road linking the A428 to the A6. As part of the Linden Homes contribution, the developer is providing a new primary school and sports pitches.

Dorner added: “These final homes that we will be releasing for sale provide a real mix of properties to appeal to a range of buyers. There is the ‘Oakley’ – a two-bedroom coach house which is perfect for young first-time buyers as it combines the single-storey living of an apartment with the benefit of a garden, car port and parking space below the property.

“The three-bedroom ‘Eveleigh’ and ‘Wyatt’ are ideal homes for young families or people wanting to downsize following retirement. There is also a selection of larger four and five-bedroom homes which will appeal to growing families wanting more space. We anticipate a great deal of interest in these final homes, all of which will be ready to move into this year.”

Prices are yet to be released. Find out more at lindenhomes.co.uk.
