Posted 16 June 2022 by Keith Osborne

Countryside and Hill are unveiling brand new homes at two impressive developments in Cambridgeshire...

Two major housebuilders have announced the launch of a wide assortment of new homes at two developments in Cambridgeshire.

Countryside has launched Fletton Folly at Great Haddon, a new community on the southern fringes of Peterborough, at the village of Yaxley. It will provide two-, three- and four-bedroom detached and semi-detached houses, carefully designed to meet modern needs and tastes, with open-plan layouts, light and airy interiors, and French doors leading out to patios.

Created as an integral part of a new community, those living at Fletton Folly will have new schools, parks, water features and other community amenities all within convenient walking distance. There are two existing primary schools in Yaxley which are both rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted. The development’s residents will also benefit from open fields and meadows with footpaths and cycleways right on their doorstep.

Yaxley has small shops for day-to-day shopping needs and residents will further benefit from new retail amenities as the community at Great Haddon grows. Close by, Peterborough offers high-street favourites as well as independent shops and a wide choice of cafés, bars and restaurants. Local attractions include the glorious Crown Lakes Country Park with its lakes, woodland and parkland providing a great place for people, families and their dogs to roam.

Fletton Folly has excellent transport connections. Peterborough Station is just over five miles away, which provides train services to many destinations with London reachable within 50 minutes. For journeys by car, the A1 and other major road links are close by.

Glyn Mabey, managing director, East Midlands, Countryside said: “We’re proud to launch Fletton Folly, combining spacious, high-quality and attractive homes with an exciting evolving community where people can enjoy life. With strong links with nature as well as fast access to bustling towns and cities, this is a place designed for people and families to settle for a long time.”
