Developer’s Shared Ownership Launches In Warwickshire, London and Bedfordshire

L&Q, a major developer which has won numerous prestigious WhatHouse? Awards for its affordable and private sale homes, has announced three launches of three Shared Ownership collections at developments in Warwickshire, London and Bedfordshire.

For buyers on a modest budget looking for a first home, or currently renting and hoping to get back onto the homeownership ladder, Shared Ownership is an established government-backed scheme where they can ‘part buy-part rent’ a home is a way they can afford. Starting with between 25% and 75%, they can buy a share in the new home and pay a subsidised rent on the remainder. This means a far smaller deposit and mortgage are needed than they would be if they were buying the same property on the open market. Over time, if they wish to and can afford it, the buyer can purchase further shares until they own 100% of the home and no longer pay any rent.

L&Q has launched its final collection of Shared Ownership homes at L&Q at Ridgeway Views, comprised of 44 one- and two-bedroom pet-friendly apartments well suited to a variety of buyers and with deposits starting from just £9,062.

New Shared Ownership homes available in Bedford

L&Q is launching a new collection of six attractive two- and three-bedroom Shared Ownership terraced and semi-detached houses at L&Q at Willow Grove on Saturday 3 June. Creating a pocket of affordability in this attractive suburb of Bedfordshire, homes here will be available with deposits for the new homes starting from just £6,150.

Located on the outskirts of the historic town of Bedford, L&Q at Willow Grove is a new residential quarter nestled within the growing neighbourhood of Wixams, a major new development formed of four separate villages. This new community has been designed to offer a family-friendly place to live complete with local shops, schools, a playground, ponds and a village green.
