Eager Buyers Flock To New Homes In Elswick

Properties at The Hawthorns had been selling off-plan since the summer with the support of video game style virtual reality technology. Recognising that there’s still a need for a real life experience, Kingswood Homes has opened three show homes and welcomed more than 50 visitors in the first weekend.
Three homes were reserved and four homeowners keen to purchase made assisted move applications to help sell their current properties to facilitate a move to The Hawthorns.
Head of sales at Kingswood Homes Lesley Myers said: “The Hawthorns is a popular choice with people wanting to embrace living in a brand new home in a lovely Lancashire village location. We had already seen incredible success off-plan with a third of the homes sold before the show homes opened. Buyers really embraced the idea of using video game style technology to take a virtual tour of the development even before it was built.
“But actually viewing these homes in person has elevated the buying experience. As we anticipated, given the chance to view the homes in real life, people have jumped at the chance to purchase one.”
‘Byre 4’ house type
The Hawthorns boasts a choice of three-, four- and five-bedroom properties. Current prices are from £299,995 for a ‘Haybarn 3’. A ‘Haybarn 3’ is currently home to the sales centre and is available to view, along with professionally styled and fully furnished examples of the ‘Byre 4’ and ‘Farmhouse 5’.
All of the properties at The Hawthorns are available with Kingswood’s Shape Your Home concept, which as the name suggests, gives buyers the chance to alter the layout to suit their lifestyle. There are four configurations of the ‘Haybarn 3’ available, six for the ‘Farmhouse 5’ and nine for the ‘Byre 4’.
Available from £381,995 and set out over two floors with three optional layouts for each level, the ‘Byre 4’ is a prime example of the flexibility Shape Your Home offers. The show home showcases the standard ground floor layout including L-shaped combined kitchen and dining room with integrated appliances and a kitchen island, a separate lounge, plus utility with WC. Recognising the importance of easy access to outside space, double doors open from the dining area and bi-fold doors lead from the lounge to the garden. Upstairs it features the “Sleep Luxe’ layout with three bedrooms, each with an en suite.
