Housebuilders across the country are supporting key worker house-hunters with exclusive special offer schemes...

Housebuilders across the country continue to show their support for the essential role of key workers in the continuing Covid-19 crisis.

Lovell Homes is offering a bespoke Key Worker scheme on the new homes at its developments in Norfolk and Suffolk, making the home process easier for those working in the public sector.

The scheme aims to benefit a range of property seekers looking to move on or up the property ladder. It offers a contribution of £500 for every £25,000 spent towards a home at Lovell Homes’ Heath Farm development in Holt, Wensum Grange in Fakenham and St Mary’s View in Gislingham.

This can be used as a discount on the purchase price of the home. As an added extra, the scheme also includes flooring up to the value of £3,000.

Lovell’s Key Worker scheme is available to those working in the NHS, Education and Childcare, Police, Fire Service, Ministry of Defense, Environmental Health Service, Highways England Traffic Officer Service, Prison Service, Probation Service and Local Authorities*.

Adrian Garrood, regional sales manager at Lovell, said: “We’re thrilled to be able to offer a bespoke Key Worker scheme on our stunning homes, which aims to provide financial support for public sector personnel looking to purchase a brand-new home.

“It is extremely important to us to support the communities local to our developments and those working in the public sector are vital to the infrastructure of every community. I’d encourage anybody interested to speak with our sales team to find out how this offer can be tailored to each individual and their requirements.”

PixiefieldsFollowing a flurry of off-plan sales, Living Space Housing has launched an exclusive discount scheme for Key Workers at Malvern Oaks, a 51-home scheme which is situated in the village of Cradley, on the outskirts of Malvern, Herefordshire.

A £5,000 discount off the purchase price of a house or bungalow will be applied at Malvern Oaks for all those identified by the government as a Key Worker. The discount is available to everyone working in health and social care, including support workers and anyone working in the supply chain. The scheme is also open to all education and childcare professionals; those providing key public services; all staff working in food production, processing, distribution, sale and delivery; public safety and national security personnel; transport workers; and those providing essential utilities, communication and financial services.

Steve Davies, managing director of Living Space Housing said: “We are living in unprecedented times and the heroic efforts of all Key Workers who are continuing to perform their vital roles is something we are all incredibly thankful for. Having received enquiries from a number of Key Workers looking to move onto or up the property ladder, we wanted to reach out and put a discount scheme on the table. The £5,000 discount is now available on all 15 homes that are currently available for sale at Malvern Oaks.”

Malvern Oaks is already 70% sold and there are only three homes remaining in the current release. There are two three-bedroom ‘Acton’ houses, priced at £275,000 and a ‘Stanford’ bungalow, which has two bedrooms plus a study, priced at £350,000. Help to Buy can also be used alongside the discount scheme. The first homes are due to be completed within the coming months.

To ensure all staff, contractors and visitors can work safely, Living Space Housing has produced a Covid-19 Safe Operating Procedure. It has been compiled with Government and Construction Leadership Council guidance and is in operation across Living Space’s portfolio of development sites.
