Housebuilder Launches Flagship Development In Leyland

Posted 24 November 2021 by Keith Osborne

The first phase of a major new Lancashire development has just been opened to buyers by Keepmoat Homes...

Following the launch of its three new show homes and sales office, Keepmoat Homes is now welcoming the public onto its £100million Farington Mews site in Leyland.

Comprising 520 homes when complete, Farington Mews will boast two-, three- and four-bedroom homes in thoughtful designs which offer additional space to facilitate a modern work/life balance. 96 of the homes will be made ‘affordable’, which will be delivered in partnership with Onward Homes.

Phase 1 is well underway and will consist of 308 new homes, with properties on sale and three show homes – ‘The Neston’, ‘The Danbury’ and ‘The Bamburgh’ – now available to be viewed by the public either on site or virtually.

Located on the north-west edge of the small town of Leyland, Farington Mews is surrounded by green open countryside of the great Lancashire landscape, with great amenities nearby along with transport links to Preston, Manchester, Liverpool, and Southport.

In addition to the new homes, Keepmoat Homes has signed up to be a cornerstone employer in the area and has pledged to help build sustainable futures for young people by offering apprentices and work experience placements, as well as supporting local schools and colleges with careers information, advice and guidance throughout the lifetime of the project.

Farington MewsGareth Roberts, regional managing director at Keepmoat Homes, said: “We’re thrilled to have launched the new flagship development in Leyland in partnership with Onward Homes. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was a huge success and I commend the team for all their hard work. Our aim for Farington Mews is to create a new and sustainable community which combines diverse green spaces with modern living at the heart of Lancashire.

“The launch of our marketing suite and new, stylish show homes provide potential homebuyers a chance to explore the development and view our new homes. We have a great team on-board who are driven to deliver high-quality housing designed to support a range of prospective homeowners, from first time buyers to those looking to up-size, as well as provide much-needed affordable homes.

“We have already received high interest at the development as more people are seeking to get onto the property ladder.”

Stephen Heverin, growth & regeneration director at Onward Homes, said: “Farington Mews is a great opportunity to create a thriving new neighbourhood with a range of high-quality, modern homes. Onward has a proven track record of delivering affordable housing across the North West, including in Lancashire. We look forward to developing these much-needed affordable homes, which will help local young people and families that are looking to put down roots in the area.”
