Home Reach Comes To Armed Forces Event In Bristol This Weekend

Keith OsborneHome Reach, the ‘part buy-part rent’ homebuying initiative, is playing a part in an event taking place in Bristol on Thursday 28 October called The Armed Forces & Veterans Resettlement Expo.
The free-to-attend event will feature exhibitors covering many aspects of interest to those in the military, those leaving the military, military spouses, families and veterans. It is being held from 9.30am to 12.30pm at Ashton Gate Stadium.
Housing provider heylo, founder of the Home Reach part buy-part rent homebuyer assistance scheme, this year received a Silver Award from the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme as a result of its commitment to helping Armed Forces personnel to get on the property ladder, as well as promote jobs for service leavers and veterans with its organisation.
Home Reach is a partnership between housing provider heylo and a number of housebuilders across England which gives buyers who meet the eligibility criteria the opportunity to ‘part buy-part rent’ a brand new home. You can purchase a share of a new build home (usually starting at 50%) and pay a subsidised rent on the remainder, with heylo as the landlord. The scheme is offered on selected plots at a development and provides all the benefits of homeownership but requires a much smaller deposit (5% of the share price) and a smaller mortgage than when purchasing outright. Over time, owners can buy further shares as their budget allows, until they own 100%.
There are a number of new homes developments in and around Bristol which offer properties through the Home Reach initiative.
