Help To Buy Event In Flintshire This Weekend

Posted 5 April 2023 by Keith Osborne

Developer HJK Properties is inviting house-hunters to use the government-back initiative while they can at Holywell Manor...

With Help to Buy Wales having been extended from this April, HJK Properties is hosting an Open Weekend from the Friday 7 to Sunday 9 April for those looking to utilise the scheme at its new Holywell Manor development in Holywell, Flintshire.

Overlooking the River Dee estuary and with sweeping views across to the Cheshire villages, the sympathetically renovated former manor house has been converted into a collection of well-appointed one- and two-bedroom apartments, starting from £175,000. Also on the site is a selection of newly built three- and four-bedroom houses, which cost between £225,000 and £255,000. All new homes at Holywell Manor therefore fit into the increased threshold of £300,000 under the extended scheme.

Originally built in the early 1900s, the main manor house has been converted in keeping with the original character and façade, giving the apartments particularly high ceiling heights and plenty of character. Views from the open-plan kitchen and living spaces on all floors stretch for miles. The 15 newly built houses all benefit from coastal views, with living spaces spread across three floors.

Elli Peak, sales & marketing director at HJK Properties, said: “This scheme brings together the charm of a historic building, with the luxuries of a modern home. We have put a lot of care into making sure the character of the old building remains so that homeowners at Holywell Manor can benefit from the attractiveness of it whether in one of the apartments housed inside or the homes looking at it.”

Situated just outside the market town of Holywell and only a 10-minute drive from the border with England, these homes provide buyers working in Cheshire the chance to utilise the Help to Buy Wales scheme, whilst still commuting to the likes of Chester and Liverpool.

Peak added: “The Help to Buy scheme made a real difference to first-time buyers across the UK. The extension of the scheme in Wales and the uplift in value will make many areas of Wales appealing to buyers on both sides of the border.”

The show home and marketing suite will be open between 10.00am and 5.00pm from Friday 7 to Sunday 9 April. Find out more at [email protected].
