First-Time Buyers Workshop At Leeds Development

Posted 13 November 2023 by Helen Christie

Guinness Homes is set to host a workshop for first-time buyers on Saturday 18 November at its Points Cross development in Leeds…

WhatHouse? Award-winning developer Guinness Homes will be hosting a workshop on Saturday 18 November from 11:00am-1:00pm, to help first-time buyers navigate purchasing their first home at its flagship northern site, Points Cross.

The ‘First Time Buyer Toolkit’ workshop will cover topics including what Shared Ownership is and how it works, what it means for deposits and mortgages, and what to consider when viewing a property.

Visitors will also be able to tour the show home, explore the local area around the development and get advice on the Shared Ownership sales process from Guinness’ expert advisers. The workshop forms part of the development’s ongoing campaign, ‘It All Points Towards’, which aims to show Leeds residents how Shared Ownership can help them get on the property ladder.

Amy Gooder, Yorkshire regional sales manager at Guinness Homes says: “We are aiming to demystify the home buying process for first-time buyers and educate the public about shared ownership: an alternative route to homebuying that is helping more people than ever to get on the property ladder who would otherwise not be able to. Our sales advisers are hosting this workshop to share their expertise with Leeds residents and show that there are more options available to people than either outright sale or continuing to rent. The workshop and our ongoing campaign will shine a light on the opportunities Shared Ownership could bring for first time buyers in the city. It’s incredibly rewarding to share our knowledge with future homeowners on what shared ownership is all about and help more people find their first home with us.”
